READ: Luke 10:1-3

  1. After these things the LORD appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.
  2. Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
  3. Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Hebrews 10:24-39, Ezekiel 7-9

MESSAGE:

Soul winning a business of the Kingdom that must be done by every Christian. Our memory verse says that whoever wins souls is wise. When you light a candle, do you do it for yourself alone? No, when a bulb is switched on in a room, it brightens it entirely. The same applies to soul winning. You were saved so that you can save others. This is why I always end every message with an altar call. I also ensure that I participate in the “Let’s-Go-A-Fishing” Programme. I remember how, some years ago, I broke down after a “Let’s-Go-A-Fishing” programme and some pastors advised me to stop attending the programme, but to rest instead. I told them I couldn’t rest because I have to use every avenue possible to win souls. My child, the essence of being saved is to save others. You still have strength now; don’t waste it partying and other frivolous activities. Invest it in the gospel and watch it bring returns to you both on earth and in Heaven.

Also, bear in mind that winning souls shows that you are fruitful and anyone that does not bear fruit will be disconnected from the Vine.

REFLECTION:

How many souls have you won to Christ since you got born again?

HYMN: Must I Go And Empty Handed

  1. Must I go and empty-handed,
    Thus my dear Redeemer meet?
    Not one day of service give Him,
    Lay no trophy at His feet?

CHORUS
“Must I go and empty-handed?”
Must I meet my Saviour so?
Not one soul with which to greet Him,
Must I empty-handed go?

  1. Not at death I shrink or falter,
    For my Saviour saves me now;
    But to meet Him empty-handed,
    Thought of that now clouds my
    brow.
  2. Oh, the years in sinning wasted,
    Could I but recall them now,
    I would give them to my Saviour,
    To His will I’d gladly bow.
  3. Oh, ye saints, arouse, be earnest,
    Up and work while yet ’tis day;
    Ere the night of death o’er take thee,
    Strive for souls while still you may.
