READ: Genesis 39:1-5

  1. And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmaelites, which had brought him down thither.
  2. And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
  3. And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.
  4. And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.
  5. And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.

MESSAGE:

Being a child of God puts one in a position of continued relevance throughout one’s lifetime. It also makes you the link to other people’s blessings. When Joseph became Potiphar’s servant, the atmosphere of the house changed; prosperity came to Potiphar. I pray that because of you, God will make a way for your parents and relatives in the mighty name of Jesus.

Your presence in your family or school should bring benefits to everyone there. Lives should be saved because you took a bus, taxi, boat or airplane. I remember there was a time we went on a mission trip to preach in a country that required crossing the sea on a boat. We hired some boats but one of the men insisted that he would be on my boat. Obviously, he was afraid, so, I assured him that everyone would be safe. He said Please allow me be in your boat sir because peradventure anything happens, I know your own boat will not sink.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, make me relevant wherever I find myself.

HYMN: LET OTHERS SEE JESUS IN YOU

  1. While passing through this world of sin,
    And others your life shall view,
    Be clean and pure without, within,
    Let others see Jesus in you.

Chorus:
Let others see Jesus in you,
Let others see Jesus in you;
Keep telling the story, be faithful and true,
Let others see Jesus in you.

  1. Your life’s a book before their eyes,
    They’re reading it through and through;
    Say, does it point them to the skies,
    Do others see Jesus in you?
  2. What joy ’twill be at set of sun,
    In mansions beyond the blue,
    To find some souls that you have won;
    Let others see Jesus in you.
  3. Then live for Christ both day and night,
    Be faithful, be brave, and true,
    And lead the lost to life and light;
    Let others see Jesus in you.
