READ: Hebrews 12:1-3

1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Numbers 19-21

MESSAGE:

Some years ago, I planned to visit our church in Philadelphia. The Pastor in Charge was so elated that she informed her family. Her young son asked if I would come to their house, and she said yes. Then he said, I am in trouble: the moment Pastor Adeboye enters this house, he will know every sin I have committed” If the boy was so scared that a man would know all he had done in his house, how much more God who sees what we do both in secret and in public?

When my children were younger, they used to joke that I wasn’t human, as I would tell them what they did in my absence. We would laugh about it, and I would always end with ‘nothing is hidden from God.’ Thus, don’t think that you have a secret hide-out where no one can see you; God is there. If you think you can outsmart your parents or guardians and sneak out to do immoral things, you cannot outsmart God because He sees everything. He is watching, and so are the cloud of witnesses in heaven Live with this consciousness and be guided.

KEY POINT:

God is watching, don’t disappoint Him

HYMN 20 – Ho, My Comrades! See The Signal

  1. Ho, my comrades! see the signal
    Waving in the sky!
    Reinforcements now appearing,
    Victory is nigh!

Chorus
“Hold the fort, for I am coming,”
Jesus signals still,
Wave the answer back to heaven,
“By Thy grace we will, “

  1. See the mighty host advancing
    Satan leading on:
    Mighty men around us falling,
    Courage almost gone!
  2. See the glorious banner waving!
    Hear the trumpet blow!
In our Leader’s name we’ll triumph
    Over ev’ry foe!
  3. Fierce and long the battle rages,
    But our help is near:
    Onward comes our great commander,
    Cheer, my comrades, cheer!
