Topic: Harvest Of A Seed

Memorise: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. – Galatians 6:7

Read: Mark 4:26-29

  1. And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
  2. And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
  3. For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
  4. But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

There is a multiplying power in every seed. A seed has the capacity to produce after its own kind. If you sow seeds into Gods kingdom through payment of tithe and offerings, treasures will be laid up for you in heaven and more provisions will come to you as well as favour and open doors. It is important that when God gives you a seed, you sow some back to Him. If you fail to do this, you will deprive yourself of some blessings. Psalm 37:25 says

“I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”

The privileges enjoyed by some teenagers today are the harvests of the seeds of righteousness sown by their parents in time past. There are many instances in the Bible where God was moved to make generational covenants after accepting the sacrificial offerings of a man. Are your offended that your parents give out your family resources to people in need and by so doing, dont meet all your needs? Dont be dear, they are only investing into your future and you will reap the harvest. However, you also have to sow your seeds now so that you and the generation after you can reap good fruits.

Prayer Point: Father, help me to sow good seeds on fertile ground.
