TOPIC: The Kingdom In Motion [Open Heaven for Teens 17 January 2022]
MEMORISE: Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10
READ: Matthew 5:14-16
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
MESSAGE:
For many years, the Body of Christ has experienced the Kingdom of God within the walls of the Church, but it is time for young people like you to take that experience outside your local Churches into your schools and public places. The Bible says “You are the light of the world”, not just of the Church and Jesus also taught us to pray that “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth…” not just in the Church.
Your spiritual relevance must transcend your local assembly because God’s Kingdom is a kingdom in motion and it should never be restricted to the Church building, a denomination or even a particular environment.

The Bible makes us understand that our body is the temple of the Lord and this means that we are carriers of God’s Kingdom here on earth. Everywhere you go, people should experience the Kingdom. The Bible says that the Kingdom of God is in righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17). As Christ’s ambassadors, we are to reflect the peace of God, His joy and His righteousness! Make conscious efforts with the help of the Holy Spirit to ensure that God’s presence and Kingdom are felt in your home, school, community, workplace etcetera from today.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, please make me a good representative of your Kingdom here on earth
HYMN: Stand Up Stand Up For Jesus
- Stand up! stand up for Jesus,
Ye soldiers of the Cross!
Lift high His royal banner;
It must not suffer loss.
From vict’ry unto vict’ry
His army shall He lead,
Till every foe is vanquished,
And Christ is Lord indeed. - Stand up! stand up for Jesus,
The trumpet call obey;
Forth to the mighty conllict,
In this His glorious day;
Ye that are men now serve Him
Against unnumbered foes;
Let courage rise with danger,
And strength to strength oppose. - Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
Stand in His strength alone;
The arm of Ilesh will fail you,
Ye dare not trust your own:
Put on the gospel armour;
And watching unto prayer;
Where duty calls, or danger,
Be never wanting there. - Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
The strife will not be long;
This day the noise of battle,
The next the victor’s song;
To him that overcometh,
A crown of life shall be;
He with the King of glory
Shall reign eternally.
