READ: Mark 16:15-18
- And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
- He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
- And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
- They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Nehemiah 4-6, Acts 2:14-47
MESSAGE:
Go into all nations was the command Jesus gave to His disciples before ascending into heaven. He assured them of performing miracles and achieving great things for the kingdom of God if they were totally sold out to preaching the gospel of salvation. This commandment extends to every child of God.
After I surrendered my life to Christ and began to enjoy my relationship with God, I promised Him that I would share the gospel with anyone I come in contact with, whether in Nigeria or abroad. That’s the reason I preach and many times make altar calls at convocation ceremonies, weddings, social events, conferences et cetera. If you have been saved from darkness and are now operating in the light, nothing should stop you from leading your friends into the light too. Use all the avenues you have; social media, tracts, group evangelism with other church members et cetera. If you travel outside your country, preach the gospel. If the Apostles had not gone into nations, the gospel would not have gotten to us.
PRAYER POINT:
Determine to win at least one soul for God before the end of this week.
HYMN 11: IN CHRIST ALONE
- In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This Cornerstone; this solid ground;
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm;
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ - In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
‘Til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live, I live. - There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ - No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.
