TOPIC: Steal Not (Open Heaven for Teens, 18 March 2025)

MEMORISE: Thou shalt not steal. Exodus 20:15

BIBLE READING: Ephesians 4:27-28

  1. Neither give place to the devil.
  2. Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

MESSAGE:

God frowns strongly at stealing. If you desire to have more, you have to work more. Do not take from those who have laboured for their possessions. Some people try to categories and rationalize stealing. For instance, they might try to explain why internet fraud is different from stealing – this is wrong. The moment a person takes something that does not belong to him or her without the permission of the owner or under false pretences, that fellow has stolen.

My Father in the Lord, Pa Josiah Akindayomi, used to say that a father will take care of his children with whatever he has. If your father is God, then He will take care of you with healings, blessings, and long life, but if your father is the devil, he will take care of you with sicknesses, academic failures, death, delays, et cetera. Therefore, thieves should never expect God fo answer their prayers because God is not their father; the devil is, and he will take care of them with the things that he has that are mentioned above.

In Leviticus 6:4 and Exodus 22:1-4, God said that whoever steals from someone will return it to the fellow in double folds. My dear child, do not steal.

ACTION POINT:
Return anything in your possession that doesn’t belong to you.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Numbers 26:15, Luke 3:1-22

HYMN 55: Christian, Seek Not Yet Repose

1 Christian, Seek Not Yet Repose;
Hear Thy Guardian Angel Say,
“Thou Art In The Midst Of Foes:
Watch And Pray!”

2 Principalities And Powers,
Mustering Their Unseen Array,
Wait For Thy Unguarded Hours:
“Watch And Pray.”

3 Gird Thy Heavenly Armour On;
Wear It Every Night And Day
Ambush’d Lies The Evil One:
“Watch And Pray.”

4 Hear The Victors Who O’ercame;
Still They Mark Each Warrior’s Way;
All With One Sweet Voice Exclaim,
“Watch And Pray!”

5 Hear, Above AlI, Hear Thy Lord,
Him Thou Lovest To Obey;
Hide Within Thy Heart His Word:
“Watch And Pra!.”

6 Watch, As If On That Alone
Hung The Issue Of The Day;
Pray, That Help May Be Sent Down:
Watch And Pray.
