TOPIC: The Evil Of Broadcasting [Open Heaven for Teens 19 November 2021]

MEMORISE: He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. Proverbs 13:3

READ: Proverbs 21:23
23 Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Ezekiel 20-21, James 1:1-27

MESSAGE:

Talking too much is bad. You can’t be an overcomer if you cannot control your tongue. When you have any issue and are in need of someone to talk to, I would advise that you go to a quiet place and have a conversation with Jesus. You can even put your feelings into writing and address the letter to Jesus.

There was a time I was to go on a mission trip to Zambia in the company of some women. The night before, the Lord showed me a very disturbing vision and the matter was on my mind all night till dawn. I didn’t realize it reflected in my countenance until one of the women asked what the matter was. I was about to talk when the Holy Spirit cautioned me, so I said, It’s nothing beyond what God can handle. You see, people show concern for different reasons: to have something to gossip about, to make others feel they are close to you or to laugh you to scorn; very few will actually help or refer you to who can help. Know who to share your issues with, better still, talk to Jesus.

KEY POINT:

God will not screen shot your chat to show someone else.

HYMN: What A Friend We Have In Jesus

  1. What a friend we have in Jesus,
    All our sins and griefs to bear;
    What a privilege to carry
    Ev’rything to God in prayer
Oh! what peace we often forfeit,
Oh! what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry
    Everything to God in prayer.
  2. Have we trials and temptations?
    Is there trouble anywhere?
    We should never be discouraged,
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Can we find a Friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrow share?
    Jesus knows our every weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
  3. Are we weak and heavy laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
    Precious Saviour still our refuge,
Take it to the Lord in prayer
    Do thy friends despise,
    forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer
    In His arms He’ll take
    and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.
