MEMORISE: But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

READ: Matthew 6:31-33

  1. Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
  2. (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
  3. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Titus 3:1-15, Jeremiah 33-35

MESSAGE:

When I newly gave my life to Christ, I was trained on the subject of faith by my father in the Lord. He was a practical Christian who only taught what he had experienced. I remember a time when he said his wife told him there was no more meat in the pot of stew and the family wasn’t buoyant enough to afford it. My father told Mummy to look away from the pot as she served the family meal. To her surprise, each scoop of stew delivered a piece of meat into the plate. Unbelievable but true.

You see, my dear, all you need in life has already been provided by God but you’re grappling in confusion because you doubt His existence. Only people who believe the miraculous will experience it. The Bible says only fools say there is no God and because we are not fools, we believe that God is mindful of us and has taken care of all our needs in advance. What you need in the next 3, 5, 10 years and more has been provided for. Connect with God in faith and you will never lack anything.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, please increase my faith in Your word.

HYMN: What A Friend We Have In Jesus

  1. What a friend
    we have in Jesus,
    All our sins and griefs to bear;
    What a privilege to carry
    Ev’rything to God in prayer
Oh! what peace we often forfeit,
Oh! what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry
    Everything to God in prayer.
  2. Have we trials and temptations?
    Is there trouble anywhere?
    We should never be discouraged,
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Can we find a Friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrow share?
    Jesus knows our every weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
  3. Are we weak and heavy laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
    Precious Saviour still our refuge,
Take it to the Lord in prayer
    Do thy friends despise,
    forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer
    In His arms He’ll take
    and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.
