  1. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
  2. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
  3. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

MESSAGE:

The fight of faith is the conflict between our temporary earthly circumstances and our spiritual realities. It is not a fight with the devil; rather, it is a fight which takes place in your heart. Apostle Paul calls it a good fight which every Christian must win. To win this fight, you must hold on to God’s word and maintain your confessions in the face of strong opposition.

I want you to know that you have an adversary whom the Bible calls ‘the prince of this world.’ He controls many activities in the world and causes people to be hostile towards God and matters pertaining to the heavenly kingdom. However, Jesus assured us in John 16:33 that He has given us victory: “…In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

Beloved, for you to walk in this victory, you must remain on the Lord’s side. It is only from this vantage point that you will fight the good fight of faith effectively and finish your race gloriously. Luke 10:19 says, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

CONFESSION
I receive victory over sin and death. I will finish my race strongly, in Jesus’ name.
