MESSAGE:

God does not have grand children, anyone who accepts Christ as His Lord and Saviour becomes a child of God. If you are a child of God, knowing who your Heavenly Father is will position you properly to live your life as He intended. The more you believe in your identity in Christ, the more it will reflect in your behaviour. So, if you just gave your life to Jesus, don’t focus on your past anymore or what people say about your past. As long as you have made a commitment to live for Jesus going forward, you have a new identity, hence, see yourself as God sees you. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says:

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature : old things are passed away: behold, all things are become new.”

You are a new person; everything about you is new. Accept what God says about you and live a fulfilled life.

KEY POINT:

Leave your past in the past and embrace your new life in Christ

HYMN 4: AMAZING GRACE! HOW SWEET

1.Amazing grace! how sweet the sound!
That saved a wretch like me;
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.

2.Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!

3.Through many dangers, toils, and snares,
I have already come;
‘Tis grace that brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

4.Yes, when this heart and flesh shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.
