READ: John 14:26

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Joshua 9-10, Luke 3:1-38

MESSAGE:

Many years ago, a couple who were professors brought their son for prayers. He was the dullest in his class and always in the last position. When the class increased from 30 to 35 pupils, his position moved from 30th to 35th. I prayed a simple prayer with them and God touched his brain. After his last exam, his teacher was surprised about his result and asked that he redo the exam. On the second sitting, he scored even higher marks.

When God touches your brain, He gives you a retentive memory that would make you excellent in your studies. However, you have a role to play because God will retain for you what you have. In other words, you have to fill your brain with something. To excel academically, study after every class (not when the examination is two weeks away) in a place free of any distractions such as television, music and noise. Avoid cramming, rather, after reading a topic, write what you have read to know how much information you have been able to retain. Eat good food, sleep at the right time and spend less time on social media. After this, commit everything to God the Giver of excellent brains.

PRAYER POINT:
Lord, please touch my brain and make me more excellent in my studies.

HYMN 14: Let Others See Jesus In You

  1. While passing through this world of sin,
    And others your life shall view
    Be clean and pure without, within,
    Let others see Jesus in you.

Chorus:
Let others see Jesus in you,
Let others see Jesus in you;
Keep telling the story
Be faithful and true,
Let others see Jesus in you.

  1. Your life’s a book before their eyes,
    They’re reading it through and through;
    Say, does it point them to the skies,
    Do others see Jesus in you?
  2. What joy ’twill be at set of sun,
    In mansions beyond the blue,
    To find some souls that you have won
    Let others see Jesus in you.
  3. Then live for Christ both day and night,
    Be faithful, be brave, and true,
    And lead the lost to life and light;
    Let others see Jesus in you.
