4. And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time.
5. And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Beth-el in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.

MESSAGE:

If I had the opportunity of bearing a Christian name, I would choose Deborah. However, you can guess that my alias, Mother in Israel, given by my Daddy, was influenced by Deborah’s character. Right from a young age, I have admired courageous women in history, and I aspired to be a leader in my own space as well. As the firstborn of ten children, my parents shared leadership responsibilities with me to toughen me ahead of the challenges I would face in adulthood.

I remember that the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God gave the women a commission at a particular Youth Convention where he said, “The anointing upon women is not to fry chicken in the kitchen alone but to prophesy and proffer solutions to the problems of the world.”

My dear child, life is not a bed of roses. Gone are the days when men were left to fend for the family’s needs; women now contribute to the family also. Therefore, if you are a girl, you must be prepared for the future. You are the righteousness of God, and you must shine as light. Do not be timid, lazy, or unconfident about yourself.

ACTION POINT:
Henceforth, take up more responsibilities that would prepare you for the future.
