MEMORISE: For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth… 2 Chronicles 16:9

READ: Joshua 24:15

15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

MESSAGE

Having the consciousness that God is everywhere will largely determine if a fellow will have a successful Christian life or not. Some people are of the notion that God has the prerogative of preventing one from sinning against Him. That is, if God did not want them to do something bad, He should have blocked their way. Unfortunately, God will not do that because He has given everyone the freewill to choose his or her actions. However, you must be ready to face the consequences of your actions. For example, Abraham ignored God’s promise of a son and tried the suggestion of his wife, which caused a separation of 13 years between him and God. The product of his sin-Ishmael, is still waging war against Isaac’s descendants to date.

My dear child, God will not stop you physically from doing that evil thing conceived in your heart, but He will send the Holy Spirit to minister to your heart. Do not ignore Him because your children may suffer the consequences of your sin after you are long gone. God is watching everything you do in secret and in the open, and in due time, the reward of the seeds sown will germinate.

ACTION POINT
Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your feet from falling.

QUIZ
What was the prayer that Jesus taught his disciples?

HYMN 16 – BREATHE ON ME, BREATH OF GOD

1. Breathe on me, Breath of God;
Fill me with life anew,
That I may love what Thou dost love,
And do what Thou wouldst do.

2. Breathe on me, Breath of God:
Until my heart is pure,
Until with Thee I will one will,
To do and to endure.

3. Breathe on me, Breath of God
Till I am wholly Thine,
Until this earthly part of me
Glows with Thy fire divine.

4. Breathe on me, Breath of God;
So shall I never die,
But live with Thee the perfect life
Of Thine eternity.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Leviticus 16:29-18:30 Mark 7:24-8:10
