TOPIC: Pen It Down (Open Heaven for Teens 28 April 2024)

MEMORISE: And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. Habakkuk 2:2

READ: Revelation 1:1-3

1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

MESSAGE

The entire book of Revelation was written by John the Beloved, who was one of Jesus’ favourites while He was on earth. When God wanted to reveal the events that would mark the end of the world, He told John to document all that he would see and hear.

Have you been asking God to reveal your purpose to you, and yet you do not have a journal? My dear child, God is not careless about His words, which He makes known to us through dreams, visions, and prophecies. In my house, I have notepads and pens everywhere, even in my car, because I know God can speak to me at any time, and I must be prepared to write down the things He says immediately so as not to miss out on any details.

A wise man once said, “The faintest pen is better than the sharpest memory.” It is what you write that you will remember. When you dream or think about new ideas, make it a habit to write them down so that you can follow up on their manifestation.

HYMN 10 – O God, Our Help In Ages Past

1. O God, our help in ages past
Our hope for years to come
Our shelter from the stormy blast
And our eternal home.

2. Under the shadow of Thy throne
Thy saints have dwelt secure
Sufficient is Thine arm alone
And our defence is sure.

3. Before the hills in order stood
Or earth received her frame
From everlasting Thou art God
To endless years the same.

4. A thousand ages in Thy sight
Are like an evening gone
Short as he watch that ends the night
Before the rising sun.

5. Time, like an ever-rolling stream
Bears all its sons away
They fly forgotten, as a dream
Dies at the opening day.

6. O God, our help in ages past
Our hope in years to come
Be thou our guard while trouble last
And our Eternal home.
