TOPIC: The Appointed Time [Open Heaven for Teens 29 April 2023]

MEMORISE: Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. Psalms 102:13

READ: Psalms 102:12-13

12 But thou, O LORD, shalt endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations.

13 Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.

MESSAGE:

Your constant prayers to God can be likened to when clouds gather and are ready to pour down rain at the appointed time. This is why children of God are encouraged to pray without ceasing because if you give up on praying when your needs have not been met, you will just be pushing the appointed time farther. Cumulative prayers always yield a great result at the appointed time. Your appointed time can also be fast-forwarded when God sees that you have been ridiculed for too long and you are on the verge of being put to shame.

Is there a long-standing problem in your family that you have been calling on God for? Have you become an object of ridicule or a laughing stock? Jesus is there to cover your nakedness like He did at the Wedding in Cana of Galilee. Don’t get tired; keep praying to Him and trust His timing.

KEY POINT
Don’t stop loading your cloud with prayers.

HYMN 6: I’m Pressing On The Upward Way

  1. I’m pressing on the upward way,
    New heights I’m gaining everyday;
    Still praying as I onward bound
    “Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”

CHORUS
Lord, lift me up and let me stand,
By faith, on Heaven’s table-land;
Where love, and joy, and light abound,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

  1. My heart has no desire to stay
    Where doubts arise, and fears dismay;
    Though some may dwell where these abound,
    My constant aim is higher ground.
  2. Beyond the mist I fain would rise,
    To rest beneath unclouded skies,
    Above earth’s turmoil peace is found
    By those who dwell on higher ground.
  3. I long to scale the utmost height,
    Though rough the way, and hard the fight,
    My song, while climbing, shall resound
    Lord, lead me on to higher ground.
  4. Lord, lead me up the mountain side
    I dare not climb without my Guide;
    And, heaven gained, I’ll gaze around,
    With grateful heart from higher ground.
