1 And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.

2 And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.

3 And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:

4 For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.

MESSAGE

It is amazing that many people do not understand the deeper meaning of today’s memory verse. Sowing sparingly is the act of giving a little back to God from the resources He has blessed you with Some people die in abject poverty because they are stingy. They refuse to give from what they have until they become millionaires and have enough to spare.

When it’s time for offering, some people look for the smallest denomination of money to give. Beloved, the question is, after you have dropped your offering, how much do you have left for your wants (not needs)? You should not give God the smallest part of what you have been blessed with just so you can spend on unnecessary things. David said, I will not give to my God what would not cost me a thing (2 Samuel 24:24). You should show your gratitude by giving Him the best part, so He would bless you more. Change your attitude to giving if you are convinced you are giving less than you should.
