MEMORISE: For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line: here a little, and there a little: Isaiah 28:10
READ: 1 Corinthians 2:9
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
MESSAGE
There is a growing trend among T young people who want to get to the peak of their careers at all costs. Some of them borrow material things just to show off, while some acquire possessions for themselves illegitimately. This trend is more evident on social media as young people flaunt their latest electronic gadgets, designer clothes, fashion accessories, parents’ cars, and many more.
A child of God who knows that he or she has a great future will not be under pressure to show off. You are a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden; therefore, shine the light of Christ through the various activities you engage in. For example, you should be excellent in your studies by doing what is needful at all times. Don’t seek to ‘pepper them’; rather, seek to improve yourself daily.
There is a great place that God is taking you to, but you must be ready to walk with Him every step of the way. Some things may not happen as fast as you think or want, but if you submit to the process that God is taking you through, you will achieve success.
KEY POINT
Don’t be in a hurry to succeed; just do the needful at all times.
HYMN 8 – Lead Us Heavenly Father, Lead Us
1. Lead us, heavenly Father, lead us
O’er the world’s tempestuous sea;
Guard us, guide us, keep us, feed us,
For we have no help but Thee,
Yet possessing every blessing
If our God our Father be.
2. Saviour, breathe forgiveness o’er us;
All our weakness Thou dost know;
Thou didst tread this earth before us,
Thou didst feel its keenest woe;
Lone and dreary, faint and weary,
Through the desert Thou didst go.
3. Spirit of our God, descending,
Fill our hearts with heavenly joy,
Love with every passion blending,
Pleasure that can never cloy;
Thus provided, pardoned, guided,
Nothing can our peace destroy.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Judges 17:1-18:31 John 3:1-21
