MEMORISE: Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12

READ: Jeremiah 1:5-7

5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
6 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
7 But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.

MESSAGE:

I started my walk with God in my thirties and I consider it late. I wish I had taken it seriously from my childhood so that my teenage years would have been completely for God.

My child, you don’t have any excuse for not doing exploits for God. There are a lot of heroes and heroines in the Bible that became relevant from a young age like Jeremiah, Solomon, Samuel, Joseph, David, Mary. Esther, Daniel, Jesus, and many others. They could have decided to shy away from what they were called to do, but they didn’t let their fears or age be hindrances to them. You are not too young to serve God, so why procrastinate when you can start now?

You do not have to be a pastor to win souls for God; every child of God is expected to preach the gospel. However, God has a special assignment for every child of His, therefore, ask Him to reveal to you the special assignment He wants you to carry out for His kingdom.

CONFESSION

I will make an impact in my generation I will serve the Lord with all my strength, gifts and resources all the days of my life in Jesus’ name

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Leviticus 8-10

HYMN 6: I’m Pressing On The Upward Way

  1. I’m pressing on the upward way,
    New heights I’m gaining everyday;
    Still praying as I onward bound
    “Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”

CHORUS
Lord, lift me up and let me stand,
By faith, on Heaven’s table-land;
Where love, and joy, and light abound,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

  1. My heart has no desire to stay
    Where doubts arise, and fears dismay;
    Though some may dwell where these abound,
    My constant aim is higher ground.
  2. Beyond the mist I fain would rise,
    To rest beneath unclouded skies,
    Above earth’s turmoil peace is found
    By those who dwell on higher ground.
  3. I long to scale the utmost height,
    Though rough the way, and hard the fight,
    My song, while climbing, shall resound
    Lord, lead me on to higher ground.
  4. Lord, lead me up the mountain side
    I dare not climb without my Guide;
    And, heaven gained, I’ll gaze around,
    With grateful heart from higher ground.
