READ: Psalms 68:5-6
- A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
- God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Job 29-30, Acts 12:1-25
MESSAGE:
Losing one or both parents is very traumatizing. A child left to take responsibility for his life, without prior notice or empowerment will most likely live a frustrated life if surrounded by uncaring relatives. Some become homeless and school drop-outs in the process of seeking refuge elsewhere. No one becomes motherless, fatherless or an orphan by choice, but its not the end of the world; there is hope.
Are you presently being maltreated because you lost a parent or both? I decree into your life that God will raise help from unexpected sources for you before the end of this week in Jesus name. God is the protector and Father of all orphans; He will certainly not turn away when they call on Him. Call on Him today and He will help you.
However, there are those who have both parents and are hostile to orphans. If you are one of them, you’d better stop so that you don’t suffer when God fights for them. He is the defender of orphans.
PRAYER POINT:
Be kind to everyone, particularly orphans
HYMN: I’VE FOUND A FRIEND IN JESUS
- I’ve found a friend in Jesus,
He’s everything to me,
He’s the fairest of ten thousand to
my soul;
The Lily of the Valley, in Him
alone I see
All I need to cleanse and make
me fully whole.
In sorrow He’s my comfort, in
trouble He’s my stay;
He tells me every care on
Him to roll.
He’s the Lily of the Valley, the
Bright and Morning Star,
He’s the fairest of ten thousand
to my soul. - He all my griefs has taken,
and all my sorrows borne;
In temptation He’s my strong
and mighty tow’r;
I’ve all for Him forsaken,
and all my idols torn
From my heart and now
He keeps me by His pow’r.
Though all the world
forsake me,
and Satan tempt me sore,
Through Jesus I shall safely
reach the goal. - He’ll never, never leave me,
nor yet forsake me here,
While I live by faith
and do His blessed will;
A wall of fire about me,
I’ve nothing now to fear,
From His manna He my
hungry soul shall fill.
Then sweeping up to glory to
see His blessed face,
Where rivers of delight
shall ever roll.
