TOPIC: Ask For Divine Guidance [Open Heaven for Teens 4 May 2023]

MEMORISE: The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. Psalms 25:9

READ: Psalms 107:28-30

28 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.

29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.

30 Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

MESSAGE

There is a saying, “Whosoever asks for directions will not wander on a wrong path”. This is also ve applied to spiritual matters. If you ask God for guidance before making any decision , you will never miss it.

My beloved child, instead of acting like you are smart or more knowledgeable than others around you, why not consult godly adults for their opinions and then meet God before making a decision? You can never know it all. Ask God for guidance in every decision you want to make in life even with the most simple things such as the clothes to wear. There was a year I went to preach during a program. On the first day, I made an altar call, and no one came out: I was sad. So, I went back to my room and asked God what went wrong, and He told me to wear a traditional attire for my second ministration instead of the usual shirt and trousers. I obeyed, and many people came out to surrender their lives to Jesus when I made an altar call. You might wonder how my dressing has anything to do with my ministration, but God is in charge, and I cannot question Him.

PRAYER POINT
Father, please guide me in all that I do, in Jesus’name.

HYMN 8 – Forth In Your Name, O Lord, I Go,

  1. Forth in your name, O Lord, I go,
    My daily labor to pursue,
You only, Lord, resolved to know
In all I think or speak or do.
  2. The task your wisdom has assigned
    Here let me cheerfully fulfill;
In all my work your presence find,
And prove your good and perfect will.
  3. You may I set at my right hand,
Whose eyes my inmost secrets view,
And labor on at your command
And offer all my work to you.
  4. Help me to bear your easy yoke
In ev’ry moment watch and pray,
And still to things eternal look
And hasten to that glorious day.
  5. Then with delight may I employ
All that your bounteous grace has given,
And run my earthly course with joy,
And closely walk with you in heaven.
