READ: 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
- For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
- For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
- While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Isaiah 29-30 , Ephesians 6:1-24
MESSAGE:
What you continuously gaze at will become magnified until it fills your vision. If you doubt it, focus on a thing for a period of time without being distracted. Soon, everything in the background will disappear and be replaced by what you’re gazing at.
In the same vein, when you fix your gaze on Jesus, He will be magnified in your situations and absorb all your challenges until they finally disappear. You may be asking, how can you see Jesus? 2 Corinthians 3:18 says:
“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
The word of God is a mirror that reveals who we are and who God wants us to become. Therefore, to focus on Jesus, focus on His word by studying it and meditating on it. The more you do these, the more you let go of distraction and the better you become in every aspect of your life.
PRAYER POINT:
Lord, please help me to study and meditate on Your word.
HYMN: I Can Hear My Saviour Calling
- I can hear my Savior calling,
I can hear my Savior calling,
I can hear my Savior calling,
“Take thy cross and follow, follow Me.
CHORUS
Where He leads me I will follow,
Where He leads me I will follow,
Where He leads me I will follow,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way.
- I’ll go with Him through the garden,
I’ll go with Him through the garden,
I’ll go with Him through the garden,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way. - I’ll go with Him through the judgment,
I’ll go with Him through the judgment,
I’ll go with Him through the judgment,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way. - He will give me grace and glory,
He will give me grace and glory,
He will give me grace and glory,
And go with me, with me all the way.
