TOPIC: After Calvary III [Open Heaven for Teens 5 April 2021]

MEMORISE: If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. John 14:14

READ: Philippians 2:5-11

  1. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
  2. Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
  3. But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
  4. And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
  5. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
  6. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
  7. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Judges 15:1-20, Luke 10:1-42

MESSAGE:

The name Jesus became greater than every other name after Jesus died and rose on the third day. One of the things the name does is healing. When Jesus was with the disciples, they only had to call on Him when they were in trouble or in need of help. After Jesus left however, His name became a powerful tool for healing. No wonder Peter told the man lame from birth at the beautiful gate that he didn’t have money to give him, but he had the name Jesus, and so, healed him with the name (Acts 3:1-6).

The name can cure any sickness or disease. I remember when I went to Zambia and ate something that didn’t agree with my system. After I had used the restroom about 24 times, it occurred to me that the Lord said If I lay my hands on the sick, they would recover. He didn’t specify who. I laid my hands on my head and prayed and I became whole instantly. In addition, the name Jesus is so powerful that it can give every child of God anything as stated in our memory verse for today. So, what do you need?

KEY POINT:
Spend the whole day in appreciation to God for the name Jesus.

HYMN 3: All To Jesus I Surrender

  1. All to Jesus I surrender,
    All to Him I freely give;
    I will ever love and trust Him,
    In His presence daily live.

Chorus:
I surrender all,
I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Saviour,
I surrender all.

  1. All to Jesus I surrender,
    Humbly at His feet I bow;
    Worldly pleasures all forsaken,
    Take me, Jesus, take me now.
  2. All to Jesus I surrender,
    Lord, I give myself to Thee;
    Fill me with Thy love and power,
    Let Thy blessing fall on me.
  3. All to Jesus I surrender,
    Now I feel the sacred flame;
    O the joy of full salvation!
    Glory, glory to His name!
