MEMORISE: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: – Matthew 28:19

BIBLE TEXT: Matthew 28:19-20

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

MESSAGE

The gospel of Jesus should not be kept to oneself; it is meant to be preached to others. At times but an opportunity will not present itself. However, even if it seems like the right opportunities are not forthcoming, you must learn to create them, as delay can be fatal for someone who needs to hear the gospel.

Some people start preaching by focusing on destruction or spending eternity in hell – do not do this. Rather tell people about God’s love before talking about hell if you must. You can start up a conversation by asking if a fellow has heard about Jesus. Then, go ahead and tell him or her about the miracles Jesus performed in the Bible. For instance, how Jesus raised Lazarus, who had died for four days (John 11:38-44). Tell him or her about Jesus’ death on the cross as a show of love. You can also talk about your experience with Him – how He saved you. Sometimes, all you need to do is share your own salvation experience; the sinful things you used to do before Christ saved you and how He helped you to overcome them. That is the good news!

My dear child, always ask the Holy Spirit to fill your mouth with the right words. You should also bear in mind that the Holy Spirit Himself does the conversion, so don’t beat yourself up if you get shunned.

Key Point:

Tell people about the love of God and how it has changed you; that is the good news.

HYMN 7 – Wonderful Story Of Love

1. Wonderful story of love!
Tell it to me again;
Wonderful story of love!
Wake the immortal strain.
Angels with rapture announce it,
Shepherds with wonder receive it;
Sinner, O won’t you believe it?
Wonderful story of love!

Refrain:
Wonderful! Wonderful!
Wonderful story, Wonderful story of love!

2. Wonderful story of love!
Though you are far away;
Wonderful story of love!
Still he doth call today.
Calling from Calvary’s mountain,
Down from the crystal bright fountain,
E’en from the dawn of creation;
Wonderful story of love!

3. Wonderful story of love!
Jesus provides a rest;
Wonderful story of love!
For all the pure and blest;
Rest in those mansions above us,
With those who’ve gone on before us,
Singing the rapturous chorus;
Wonderful story of love!
