BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Luke 11:1-54, Judges 20-21

MESSAGE:

Being the last born of my father and the only son of my mother, I had every reason to be a spoilt brat but I’m not. I had the vision of becoming the youngest Vice Chancellor in Africa and I worked so hard to achieve it. I got a Ph.D. in Mathematics in my early 30s in a bid to achieve this dream but then, I gave my life to Christ and God brought me under the mentorship of my late father in the Lord who appointed me as the General Overseer of RCCG. Some years ago, I asked God why He allowed me to waste years studying mathematics when He knew I would end up being a pastor. God simply replied, I was training you so you can preach the gospel mathematically that is, in simple terms.

My child, are you confused about God’s purpose for your life? Are you wondering why you settled for that course? Are you unsure about what the future holds? Don’t be afraid. No knowledge is wasted. God will see to it that you fulfill His purpose for your life.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, please help me fulfill Your purpose for my life.

HYMN: Christian Seek Not Yet Repose

  1. Christian, seek not yet repose,
    Hear thy guardian angel say,
    “Thou art in the midst of foes:
    Watch and pray!
  2. Principalities and powers,
    Mustering their unseen array,
    Wait for thine unguarded hours:
    “Watch and pray!
  3. Gird thy heavenly armour on,
    Wear it every night and day,
    Ambushed lies the evil one:
    “Watch and pray!
  4. Hear the victors who overcame;
    Still they mark each warrior’s way,
    All with one sweet voice exclaim,
    “Watch and pray!
  5. Hear, above all, hear thy Lord,
    Him thou lovest to obey;
    Hide within thy heart His word,
    “Watch and pray!
  6. Watch, as if on that alone
    Hung the issue of the day;
    Pray, that help may be sent down:
    “Watch and pray!”

Daily Devotional for Teen’s guide was written by Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, one of the largest evangelical church in the world and also the President of Christ the Redeemer’s Ministries.
