READ: 2 Kings 6:15-17

  1. And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?
  2. And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.
  3. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Job 38-39, Acts 15:1-41

MESSAGE:
The Eagle is one of the most outstanding birds in the world with enviable qualities. It flies higher than any other bird and by default has a strong sense of vision. Many teenagers lack vision and that’s why they are easily influenced by trends. Rather than set the pace in positive things, they join the band wagon to do wrong things.

You can be outstanding when your sight is as sharp as the eagles. This can only be done by God; when He opens your spiritual eyes, you will not only see things from the physical point of view, but also have deep in sights and understanding of matters. In 2 Kings 6:15-17 ,when Gehazi became afraid that the city would be overturned by an army with horses and chariots, Elisha told Him not to be afraid because He already saw heavenly hosts on standby. He prayed that God should open Gehazi’s eyes, and they were opened. When your spiritual eyes are open, you wont follow people or trends blindly. Your decisions will be based on divine revelations.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, please make my physical and spiritual sight sharper than the eagles.

HYMN: When We Walk With The Lord

  1. When we walk with the Lord
    In the light of His word,
    What a glory He sheds on our way!
    While we do His good will,
    He abides with us still,
    And with all who
    will trust and obey.

CHORUS
Trust and obey!
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
but to trust and obey.

  1. Not a shadow can rise,
    Not a cloud in the skies,
    But His smile quickly drives it away;
    Not a doubt nor a fear,
    Not a sigh nor a tear,
    Can abide while
    we trust and obey.
  2. Not a burden we bear,
    Not a sorrow we share,
    But our toil He doth richly repay;
    Not a grief nor a loss,
    Not a frown nor a cross,
    But is blest if we trust and
    obey.
  3. But we never can prove
    The delights of His love,
    Until all on the altar we lay,
    For the favour He shows,
    For the joy He bestows,
    Are for them who will trust
    and obey.
  4. Then in fellowship sweet
    We will sit at His feet,
    Or we’ll walk by His side in
    the way;
    What He says we will do,
    Where He sends we will go;
    Never fear, only trust and
    obey.
