MEMORISE: Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1 Corinthians 3:16
READ: Acts 27:30-32
- And as the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship,
- Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved.
- Then the soldiers cut off the ropes of the boat, and let her fall off.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: John 17:1-26, 2 Chronicles 26-28
MESSAGE:
As a child of God, you have divine treasures in you such that, if anyone comes in contact with you, their blessings multiply. These treasures were put in you during creation and they got refined when you gave your life to Christ through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
You are the temple of God and you should not belittle the great things you’re capable of doing to turn around the lives of people around you. Today’s Bible reading explains how Paul, a prisoner on board a ship to Rome, brought a solution to the storm, even when the sailors were about to abandon the ship.
Many years ago, I realized that there are lives assigned to my destiny and I am forever grateful that God connected me to the millions of people all over the world who are also fulfilling their destinies. So are you connected, my child; there are destinies connected to you as a child of God and you must affect them positively. It does not matter if you look small (in physique or achievements) right now, it is about Jesus in you. Through Jesus, you will impact lives positively.
KEY POINT:
Let no one despise you. You’re God’s masterpiece, so shine your light as an asset!
HYMN: I’m Pressing On The Upward Way
- I’m pressing on the upward way,
New heights I’m gaining every day;
Still praying as I onward bound,
“Lord, plant my feet on higher
ground”.
CHORUS
Lord, lift me up and let me stand,
By faith on heaven’s table-land;
Where love and joy and light abound,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.
- My heart has no desire to stay,
Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
Though some may dwell where
these abound,
My constant aim is higher ground. - Beyond the mist I fain would rise,
To rest beneath unclouded skies,
Above earth’s turmoil peace is found
By those who dwell on higher ground. - I long to scale the utmost height,
Though rough the way, and hard the fight,
My song while climbing shall resound
Lord lead me on to higher ground. - Lord lead me up the mountain side,
I dare not climb without my Guide;
And heaven gained, I’ll gaze around,
With grateful heart from higher ground.
