Topic: Meeting God Prepared [Open Heavens for Teens 25 July 2019]

Memorise: “Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.” – Amos 4:12

Read: Matthew 25:1-13

1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Bible In One Year: Psalm 44-46, Acts 25

MESSAGE:

When two students go for an examination and one passes with distinction while the other fails woefully, their performance reveal the level of their preparedness. The greatest examination in life is the examination that we will all go through at the end of time – rapture. How prepared are you?

Unlike your school exam where there is a time table, with rapture, we don’t have a time table. This means that we must be prepared at all times because it can happen at any time. Jesus Christ however gave us a hint as to the period when rapture will take place. He said in that period, their will be wars and rumors of wars. He said men will be lovers of themselves. He said there will be earthquakes and other natural disasters. If you have been paying attention to what is happenings around the world, you will know without any reasonable doubt that we are already in the season of rapture. Are you prepared?

Key Point:
Leave each day like rapture will happen next minute.

Hymn 16:

  1. Christian, seek not yet repose
    Hear thy gracious Savior say;
    Thou art in the midst of foes:
    Watch and pray.
  2. Principalities and power
    Mustering their unseen array
    Wait for the unguarded hours:
    Watch and pray
  3. Gird the heavenly armor on,
    Wear it ever night and day;
    Ambushed lies the evil one:
    Watch and pray.
  4. Hear the victors who o’ercame,
    Still they mark each warrior’s way;
    All with one sweet voice exclaim,
    Watch and pray.
  5. Hear, above all, hear thy Lord,
    Him thou loves to obey;
    Hide within thy heart His word:
    Watch and pray.
  6. Watch, as if on that alone
    Hung the issue of the day;
    Pray, that help may be sent down:
    Watch and pray.
