Topic: The Generous God [Open Heavens for Teens 30 May 2019]

Memorise: “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” – Romans 8:32

Read: Romans 8:31-32

  1. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
  2. He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Bible In One Year: 1 Chronicles 29-29, John 11:47-57

MESSAGE:

Our God can do anything: He has all the resources He can ever need. Unlike men, He is not limited in any way. Genesis 17:1 says He is the All Sufficient God. The earth and all its fullness belong to Him, all the silver and gold are also His. In 1 Kings 17:2-6, God asked birds to serve breakfast and dinner to one of His prophets on daily basis. Someone once asked where the birds got the bread and fish to feed 4,000 and 5,000 from? Where did He get the oil that the widow kept pouring into empty vessels until they were all filled from just one bottle of oil? Our God is the All Sufficient God! He is unlimited.

God is also unlimited in love. The love of men is very limited; they can only love you for as long as their strength can take them. However with God, it is not so. Even when a mother forgets her son, God can never forget you. He loves you without reservation. He has unlimited love and unlimited resources and they are all available to you. All you need to do is to be in the right standing with Him.

Key Point:
If God’s best is always available to you, why not give your best to God at all times?

Hymn 12:

1 Let us with a gladsome mind
Praise the Lord for He is kind:

Chorus
For His mercies shall endure,
ever faithful, ever sure.

2 God, with all-commanding might,
Filled the new-made world with light:

3 All things living He doth feed;
His full hand supplies their need:

4 Let us then with gladsome mind
Praise the Lord, for He is kind:
