MEMORY VERSE: Then they said one to another, we do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king’s household” (2 Kings 7:9).
Good news is not meant to be kept to ourselves but to be shared with others. Mike Murdock said, “Information is the difference between your present and your future.” The future of humanity and the individuals depends solely on the information available for their immediate and eternal destiny. The Bible is God’s good news for our present and perpetual bliss. Luke 2:10-11 says, “And the Angel said unto them, fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” Christ is the Answer to all the problems of the world today, but many don’t know because nobody has informed them.
Our text reveals how the four leprous men who had good news initially kept it to themselves but later repented and informed others. A Christian youth is expected to share the good news of Jesus Christ to the world around him/her with the aim of winning them for Christ and conserving them in Him.
CHALLENGE: The means of informing others have increased: use them.
