HEARING GOD: PROGRESS WAY

MEMORY VERSE: “I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved” (Habakkuk 2:1)

TEXT: HABAKKUK 2:1-3

In industries, businesses and even in medical fields, there are Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) which are written documents describing specific activities necessary to complete a task. SOPs are policies, procedures and standards you need in the operations, marketing and administration of disciplines within your business for success. They serve various purposes – some of which include simplifying the process, thus eliminating indecision, ensuring maintenance of quality and industry standard; protecting the workers from errors and litigations, and providing a healthy environment for workers. When SOPs are ignored or neglected, it leads to confusion, wastages, and inefficiency.

Habakkuk was determined to wait on God until he received clear directives before he made a move. He was eager to get clear instructions from the Lord of the work. As a servant of the Lord, he was resolved to follow the standard operating procedure. You need such a resolution in your life. To make progress in life and achieve more productivity in your ministry, or academics, be determined to hear from God and follow His guidance. God speaks through His word and His Spirit. Wait on Him.

QUOTE: God speaks through His word.

PRAYER: Lord, I will wait until I hear from you.

CHALLENGE: Be determined to hear from God and follow His guidance
