Dear Reader,
Peace and blessings in the precious Name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. I am sure you were blessed by the first episode and I hope you have started developing your mind towards transformation.
“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day: (Proverbs 4:18).
It was established in the first teaching that Personal Transformation is the process of causing a change that equips you for a better and impactful life. In this series I will be sharing with you on: Tools for Personal Transformation.
Tools for Personal Transformation
- Mentors
Throughout life, there would always be a need for counsellors. Mentors are people who have gone ahead of you and can see farther; so, for you to see farther you need them. Mentors offer advice on how to go about your tasks in life. They provide guidance to help choose your focus per time. The Bible says “Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellers there is safety” (Proverbs 11:14)
- Role Models
Role Models are those who reflect what you covet. For example, you may love the way someone teaches and decide to model your teaching that way. Role Models are important pointers that you can learn from; but a role model is not a mentor. A mentor is a counsellor that you have a deep personal relationship with; the relationship between you and your role models is usually from a distance.
- Association
Your Association plays a very important role in shaping your philosophies, habits, tastes, and your entire life. The association you keep could either make you or mar you. Look out for people that influence you to do good things. Covet associations that inspire you to do great things. Avoid bad companies because in the end, you are usually only as good as the company you keep. The Bible says”Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful (Psalms 1:1)
- Books
Books are a cheap way of learning valuable lessons without making terrible mistakes. Books tell you a lot about people. Books take you into the mind of the author and allow you cheaply gain knowledge that took people a lot of years to acquire. Reading books written by anointed author and successful people or reading books relating to the area you seek change would equip you with practical facts on how to facilitate that change. Apostle Paul said in 2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
- Attending Seminars and Listening to Instructive Material
These days, it’s very possible to engage in continuous learning by downloading eBooks, Youtube videos, Podcasts, and online courses and seminars all from the internet. Use Google to find help, learn from the free resources the internet provides.
Transformation is personal! Transformation is intentional! Transformation is continuous! Transformation is of the mind no one can be transformed for another. Personal Transformation is a journey. Keep at it till you see yourself transformed into the picture you desire.
But all these can’t be possible without the help of the Holt Spirit and you can’t have the Holy Spirit without being born again. If you are not yet born again and you desire to do so right now, please pray this prayer with faith in your heart: Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins and cleanse me with Your Blood. I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. Make me a child of God today. Thank You for delivering me from sin and satan to serve the living God and thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom.
Congratulations! If you prayed this simple prayer of faith with me, you are born again and now a child of God. He loves you and will never leave you. Read your Bible daily, obey God’s Word and seek Christian fellowship (John 14:21).
