INTRODUCTION: I’m happy to inform you that we serve a God who is rich in all things. Remember He made all things and everything are under His control. Our God is rich both in material and immaterial things. One of the ways God shower His blessings on His children is to enrich them with great and wonderful. No wonder the bible says in the book of Philippians 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

STUDY GUIDE
A. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE RICH?

  1. It means to be wealthy – Mat. 6:26
  2. It means to flourish – Psa. 92:13
  3. It means to experience surplus – Mark. 12:44
  4. It means to have your needs met – Deut.15:8
  5. It means to enjoy God’s provision – 2 Cor. 9:8
    b. You dont experience lack – Psa. 34:10

B. Some areas we enjoy the riches of God

  1. In Mercy – Exodus 34:6-7
  2. In Glory – Psa 3:3, 2 Cor 3:18
  3. God is rich in power
  4. God is rich in love
  5. God is rich in gold and silver
    6 God is rich in catte
  6. God is rich in wisdom
    8 God is rich in grace

C. HOW TO BE RICH IN GOD

  1. Be a part of the covenant blessing: Deuteronomy 28:1-14
    2 Make God your only source.
  2. Seek and trust God. Proverbs 3:5-6
  3. Let God’s word guide you Romans 10:17
    5 Don’t be lazy: work hard. Proverbs 10:4, 2 Thessalonians 3:10
  4. Don’t forget tithing: also give cheerfully. Proverbs 3:9-10; Malachi 3:10-11, Luke 6:38
  5. Don’t forget God; be heaven conscious Deuteronomy 8:17-18

D. INSTRUCTION FOR THOSE WHO ARE RICH IN GOD

  1. Don’t become arrogant. Work hard and become successful in life but don’t think of yourself as better than others because of your material wealth. In Deuteronomy 8:18
  2. Dont put your hope in your Riches. Proverbs 23:5 A good job or business and its steady earnings can be here today and gone tomorrow
    3 Be rich in good deeds. A good deed is a free and voluntary act of service toward another person. Doing good deeds for others is the fruit of you salvation in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:10, (Matthew 6:33)
  3. Be generous and wiling to share.

CONCLUSION: Our reward can come as physical blessings during this lifetime. Nevertheless, on top of that, we will have an eternal reward when Christ will finally return and establish His Kingdom here on earth. This reward is GREATER than all the physical wealth combined.

LIFE APPLICATION: All the material wealth on this earth will pass away. Thus, we are urged to “not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are TEMPORARY but the things which are not seen are ETERNAL” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

LESSON AIM: The children will key into God’s amazing plan enabling them to walking His favor in every area of their lives

CHILD-RELATED TRUTH: God blessings are beyond measures

INTRODUCTION: We are glad to know that we serve a God that can do even more than my expectations for me. Right from the creation of the world God has been in the business of doing great and mighty things tor His creatures. First of all through His spoken word He created both heaven and the earth in the space of six days (Genesis 1) this alone is far beyond what a man can comprehend. He did not stop at just creating man in His own image in Genesis 1:27, He blessed man and gave him dominion over all that He created in verse 28. All of these things are beyond our imagination.

STUDY GUIDE:
A. MEANING OF BLESSING BEYOND IMAGINATION

  1. To receive ordinarily what you don’t deserve – Jer. 15:15-21
  2. To be compensated more than your expectations – Heb. 4:16
  3. When the impossible turn to possibility – Matt. 19:26
  4. When you feel all hope is gone and God showed up for you – Job 14:7-9
  5. When you experience the miraculous

B. EXAMPLES OF BLESSINGS BEYOND IMAGINATION IN THE BIBLE

  1. Abraham became father of nations – Gen. 17:1-5
  2. God brought water from the Rock
  3. But the rock for the children of Israel – Exod.17:1-7
  4. A dead child was raised back to Iife – 2 Kings 4:32-35
  5. Lazarus who died for four days was raised from the dead – John 11:41-44
  6. Blind Barthemaus received his sight – Mark 10:52

C. HOW CAN YOU RECEIVE BLESSINGS THAT BEYOND
IMAGINATION

  1. Pray fervently and fast – Mathew 17:21
  2. Have faith in God – Mathew 17 20
  3. Be obedient to God – Isaiah 1:19
  4. Give to God sacrificially – Heb 13:16
  5. Maintain holy living – Rom 12:1

CONCLUSION: God’s desire is that we would experience the blessed life – where we would be happy, supremely blessed; and spiritually
prosperous – with life, joy and satisfaction in God’s favour and salvation.

LIFE APPLICATION: God is willing to bless you and everything that is yours beyond your imagination.

INVITATION: Come to Jesus now

LESSON SIXTEEN (16)
TOPIC: BLESSINGS OF THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT
BIBLE TEXT: Galatians 5:22-23, 25

MEMORY VERSE: Galatians 5:22:23 “But the fruit of the spirit is love Joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness temperance: against such there is no law.

LESSON AIM: Children will learn that fruits of the spirit come through the help of the Holy spirit

CENTRAL TRUTH: You can have all the fruits of the spirit

INTRODUCTION: God wants all of us to enter into a true sanctification process with Him so that He can begin the process of molding, shaping and transforming us into the express image of His son Jesus Christ. He wants to make us into a better and more holy people. He wants to transform us by the renewing of our minds.

A. WHAT ARE THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT

What is the purpose of the fruits of the spirit? Living with the fruits of the spirit means you are aware of the influence of the Holy spirit. As a child of God, you want to shape your life around the leadership of the Holy spirit, someone who walks is in the spirit patterns his or her life after Jesus.

IMPORTANCE OF THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT

  1. It transforms our personality (life)
  2. It gives us Joy
  3. It gives us hope
  4. It makes us more faithful
  5. It keeps us grounded in the word
  6. It qualifies us for eternity with God.

CONCLUSION: You have the capacity to love like God. You are expected to desire the fruit of the spirit by growing in your relationship with God.

INVITATION: To have the fruits of the spirit you have to be connected to the most high God. Fellowship with Him daily and you will be filled with the fruit of the spirit

LIFE APPLICATION: Live daily in love. Study, meditate on God’s word always

LESSON SEVENTEEN (17)
TOPIC: ATTRACTING GOD’S BLESSINGS 1 (RIGHTEOUSNESS)
BIBLE TEXT: Psalms 1:1-5

MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 1:1 “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in seat of the scornful.

LESSON AIM: To make the children aware that the righteous are always blessed

CENTRAL TRUTH: God wants His children to be righteous

INTRODUCTION: Being morally steadfast is fast eroding in this generation. People now celebrate wrong doing. It’s high time we stand out for Jesus Christ. Righteousness exalt but sin bring shame. As a child of God you must be ready to standout in the midst of corrupt generation. Even though you may not be popular with your friends but you will be celebrated by God.

STUDY GUIDE
A. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE RIGHTEOUS?

  1. It means to be upright Philippians 4:8
  2. It is God’s nature imputed in man by Jesus Christ at new birth 2 Corinthians 5:17
  3. Fulfilling the desires and will of the Father.
    4 It’s a gift received by grace not by works Romans 5:17
    5 It’s to live alife pleasing to God- Acts 24:16
  4. It means to be obedient- 1 Samuel 15:22
  5. It’s to fear God- Prov. 14:16

B. CHARACTERISTICS 0F THE RIGHTEOUS (Psalms 1:1-2)

  1. They are happy and blessed – Rom 15:13
  2. They do not walk in the counsel of the wicked- Psa 1:1
  3. They do not stand in the path of sinners
    4 They do not sit in the seat of scoffers
    5 They delight in the law of the Lord
  4. They meditate day and night in the law of the Lord

C. BLESSINGS ATTACHED TO RIGHTEOUSNESS

  1. No dryness Psalm 1:3a
  2. Have their strength renewed constantly – Isaiah 40:31
  3. Prosperity all-round Matthew 6:33, Psalm 1:3
  4. Fruitfulness Psalms 112:6
  5. Life in abundance
  6. Answered prayers Psalms 34:15

D. BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF THE RIGHTEOUS

  1. Noah- Genesis 6:9, Genesis 7:1
  2. Abraham – James 2:21
  3. Job – Job 1:8
  4. King David- Psalm 7:10, Psalm 18:20
  5. King Asa- 1 Kings 15:11, 2 Chronicles 14:2

CONCLUSION: Believers are called to live a life of righteousness. Note to be righteous means you have a right standing with God, parents, siblings, friends, your teachers and everybody around you

INVITATION: Righteousness is not by works, so you need the help of God by accepting Jesus as your Lord and savior.

ACTIVITY: Mention (2) two things righteousness is not

LIFE APPLICATION: Commit your ways to the Lord, and He shall establish you.

LESSON EIGHTEEN (18)
TOPIC: ATTRACTING GOD’S BLESSINGS II (OBEDIENCE)
BIBLE TEXT: Luke 5:1-18

MEMORY VERSE: Deuteronomy 28:1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

LESSON AIM: The children will learn to trust and obey God in all things

CHILD-RELATED TRUTH: Always trust and obey God

INTRODUCTION: Obedience is key in receiving blessings from God. In the book of Luke 5:1-6 Peter’s obedience to the instruction given to Him by Jesus Christ led to net breaking miracle in his life. That means there are blessings attached whenever we obey God through His Words and through our parents and Teachers. In this study we will be considering how to attract God’s blessings through an obedient life

STUDY GUIDE
A. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO OBEY?
In simple terms it means hearing the word of God and acting on it
It implies aligning our will to God’s will, doing what God has asked us to do.
It is when we completely surrender to His authority and base Our decisions and our actions on His Word.
It means to follow the instructions being given to us by our parents and teachers

B. WHO SHOULD WE 0BEY?

  1. Obey God through His word. Eccle. 12:13
  2. Obey your parents – Col. 3:20
  3. Obey the government – Rom 13:1
  4. Obey your Teachers
  5. Obey your pastor

C. BENEFITS OF BEING OBEDIENT

  1. You will enjoy the blessing of the Lord. Deut. 11:26-27, Deut. 28:2
  2. You will have good success. Joshua 1:8
  3. God will treat you special. Exo.19.5
  4. Obedience bring happiness. John 13:17
  5. Obedience make us the friend of God. John 15:14
  6. We Will enjoy material blessings. Deut.28:2
  7. You will enjoy divine protection. Lev.25:18

D. EXAMPLES OF OBEDIENT PEOPLE IN THE BIBLE

  1. Jesus Christ. Luke 2:24-51, Hebrews 5:8

CONCLUSION: Obedience demonstrates our faith and trust in God; Obedience is the key to our success; Obedience is the Sure and promised way for unlocking blessings for our lives.

LIFE APPLICATION: For us to be able to fully obey, we must read His word every day and ask God to empower us with His Holy Spirit
