TOPIC: PURE HEART: MIND OF CHRIST
BIBLE TEXT: Psalm 51:10; 24:3-4

MEMORY VERSE: 1 CORINTHIANS 2:16 “For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.”

LESSON AIM: The children will believe that God can give them pure hearts if they confess their sins

CHILD-RELATED TRUTH: God wants you to have the mind of Christ

INTRODUCTION: Hello, wonderful children of God! Today, we will talk about something amazing: having the mind of Christ. Have you ever wondered what it means to think like Jesus? Let us explore together how we can have the mind of Christ and live in a way that honors Him!

PROGRESSION OF EVENT:

  1. Having the mind of Christ means thinking and acting in a way that reflects Jesus’ love, wisdom, and character (Philippians 2:5).
  2. Jesus showed love and compassion to everyone He met and called us to do the same. (John 13:34)
  3. Jesus had great wisdom and understanding and wanted to give us wisdom too. (James 1:5)
  4. Jesus was humble and served others with love and kindness. (Mark 10:45)

GOSPEL CONNECTION: Jesus is the Son of God who gave His life and blood for our sins to be forgiven. God sent Jesus, the only sinless Man who ever lived on the face of the earth with a pure heart. He took the punishment that we deserved for our sins. Jesus died on the cross, was buried, and came alive on the third day and lives in Heaven with His Father, God. Jesus will forgive you when you confess your sins and make your mind and heart pure.

  1. We can renew our minds by reading God’s Word and praying to think more like Jesus. (Romans 12:2)

CLIMAX: Those who have clean hands are worthy to come near to God and stand in His holy presence

CONCLUSION: A pure heart loves God and others, free from selfishness or deceit.

LESSON FIFTEEN (15)
TOPIC: DEDICATION
BIBLE TEXTS: Colossians 3:23-24; 1 Timothy 4:15

MEMORY VERSE: ECCLESIASTES 9:10A “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might;”

LESSON AIM: The children will know the importance of serving with joy and doing everything as if they are doing it for God Himself.

CHILD-RELATED TRUTH: God wants you to be diligent in all you do.

INTRODUCTION: Wonderful children of God! Does God want us to work hard at everything we do? (Give room for answers). Yes! Exactly! No matter what we are doing, whether it’s cleaning our room, doing homework, or maybe a job that we really love, God wants us to work hard at it. You know, you can work hard without putting your whole heart into it. You can do a job and still be bitter, or mad, or annoyed. Do you all think that’s what it looks like to work with your whole heart though? (Let children answer). God wants us to work hard at things with a good attitude. He wants us to do the job with joy, kindness, and love!

PROGRESSION OF EVENT: COLOSSIANS 3:23-24

  1. The Bible tells us to do everything we do with all our hearts as if we are serving the Lord and not just people.
  2. We are serving God by serving others, and He sees and values our efforts.
  3. Our inheritance is not something we earn by our efforts but
is a gift from God because of His grace and love for us. 4. God sees and remembers everything we do for Him
  4. God will reward us in His perfect timing.

GOSPEL CONNECTION: God’s perfect reward was by sending His perfect Son Jesus to the world to take the punishment for your and mine sins. Jesus died a shameful death on the cross to give us eternal life. Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection is a perfect reward if you accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour

CLIMAX: When we help others, we are showing love to Jesus

CONCLUSION: And fulfilling His command to love our neighbors as ourselves.

LESSON SIXTEEN (16)
TOPIC: AN EXCELLENT LIFE
BIBLE TEXT: Daniel 1:1-20

MEMORY VERSE: DANIEL 6:3 “Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps because an excellent spirit was in him, and the king gave thought to set him over the whole realm.”

LESSON AIM: The children will understand that excellent spirit comes from the Lord when they depend on Him for everything.

CHILD-RELATED TRUTH: God gives excellent spirit through Jesus

INTRODUCTION: Children! Do you know excellence does not mean perfection, or being superior but it is a choice? One of the most important things to remember about excellence is that it is a choice. We can choose to be excellent in everything we do, or we can choose to be foolish. It is up to us. When we choose to be excellent, we are choosing to set ourselves apart and to do our best. There were four young men in the bible who chose to be excellent in everything including what they ate.

PROGRESSION OF EVENT: DANIEL 1:1-20

  1. Four good young Jewish boys were taken as prisoners during the first capture.
  2. Their names were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.
  3. They were good boys who loved God and obeyed God’s laws.
  4. They worshipped God, prayed, and obeyed God’s rules about which foods they could eat and which foods they could not.
  5. While these boys were in Babylon, King Nebuchadnezzar chose all the smartest and healthiest young prisoners to be his special helpers.
  6. Daniel and his three friends were chosen and taken to the palace and taught all the laws of Babylon.
  7. Their names were changed to Babylonian names: Belteshazzar, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and learnt science and maths and all about the stars.
  8. While the boys were learning, the king put an official in charge of them, he told the officials to give the young men the best food in Babylon.
  9. Daniel and his friends knew that the king’s food was food God did not allow, Daniel told the king’s officials they would not eat the king’s food.
10.Daniel had a good idea for them to eat vegetables and drink water, at the end of ten days they were healthier than the others

GOSPEL CONNECTION: Daniel depended on God to give them excellent spirits. God loved Daniel and his friends, and He loves you too and will give you excellent spirit if you do what is right. God wants you to depend on Jesus to do what is right, so He sent Jesus into the world to take the punishment you deserve for your sins. Jesus died a painful death on the cross, was buried, and rose again on the third day. Because of what Jesus did, you can now have your sins forgiven (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

CLIMAX: They were ten times better than all the magicians and wise men in the entire kingdom.

CONCLUSION: Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego became wise men of the king’s court.

LESSON SEVENTEEN (17)
TOPIC: CARRER CHOICE
BIBLE TEXT: Jeremiah 29:11-14

MEMORY VERSE: PROVERBS 3:6 “In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”

LESSON AIM: The children will choose to live their lives with God as their guide

CHILD-RELATED TRUTH: God is your guide through Jesus

INTRODUCTION: Hello, wonderful children! Today, we are going to talk about something exciting: God’s plan for your future career! Did you know that God has a special plan for each of you? Yes, it’s true! Let’s explore together how we can discover God’s plan for our career choices through the wisdom of the Bible.

PROGRESSION OF EVENT

  • It is amazing to know that God cares about our future. He wants what is best for us, including our careers! We can trust Him to guide us in making the right choices. (Jeremiah 29:11)
  • When it comes to choosing a career, we can pray and ask God for guidance. He promises to show us the right path if we trust Him with all our hearts. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
  • God has given each of us unique gifts and passions. Pay attention to the things you enjoy doing and the talents you have. God may be leading you towards a career that allows you to use those gifts to help others and bring glory to Him. (1 Peter 4:10)
  • It’s okay to ask for advice from trusted adults, like parents, teachers, or mentors when considering your career options. They can offer valuable insights and help you make informed decisions. (Proverbs 15:22)
  • Sometimes, God’s plan for our career may be different from what we originally thought. Stay open to His leading and trust that He knows what’s best for you. His plans are always better than ours! (Proverbs 16:9)

GOSPEL CONNECTION: Jesus Christ is God’s Son. He came into the world and lived and died for all people. His death made it possible for us to know God and not be separated from Him. God has a plan for each of our lives; When we experience His love and His forgiveness we are free from anything that is holding us prisoner. When we allow God to be in charge of our lives,

CLIMAX: God said He will listen when you call and pray to Him

CONCLUSION: You will find God when you seek Him with all your heart.

LESSON EIGHTEEN (18)
TOPIC: HOME TRAINING: MANNERS AND SOCIAL ETIQUETTE

BIBLE TEXTS: Deuteronomy 32:46-47; Esther 2:1-17

MEMORY VERSE: PROVERBS 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.”

LESSON AIM: The children will rely on God to guide them on how to act and treat others in His ways

CHILD-RELATED TRUTH: God wants you to depend on Jesus to do the right things

INTRODUCTION: Hello, amazing children! Today, let us explore the wonderful world of social manners and etiquette. Have you ever wondered how to interact politely and respectfully with others? Let us discover some valuable lessons from the scriptures on how to treat others with kindness and consideration in our social interactions. Deuteronomy 32:46-47 says that if you go by the words of your parents’ teachings, you will live long. There was a young girl who followed the good teachings of her uncle and she became a queen in a foreign country

PROGRESSION OF EVENT: ESTHER 2:1-17

  1. Young Esther was an orphan; both her mother and father had died. Her cousin, Mordecai raised her as his daughter.
  2. They were both Jewish and living in a foreign land because their country had been taken captive many years before.
  3. One day the King of this land banished (which means he sent her away) his wife, Queen Vashti, because she disobeyed him.
  4. The King now needed a new queen, so those who worked for him suggested having a beauty contest to help him choose a new queen.
  5. Many young girls from across the land were brought to the palace to go through a year of beauty treatments, and Esther was one of them for she was very beautiful.
  6. Esther wasn’t just beautiful on the outside though, she was beautiful on the inside too.
  7. She trusted, obeyed, and cared about her guardian, Mordecai

GOSPEL CONNECTION: God shows His care and love for us by sending Jesus to the world who took the form of man to die for our sins. Jesus died a death He did not deserve so that we can be saved. Because of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, you can now have your sins forgiven if you confess them. Jesus will give you the ability to show kindness and love to others

CLIMAX: She also listened and took advice from the one who was in authority over all the young women, and everyone seemed to truly like Esther.

CONCLUSION: When she was brought before the King, he liked her more than any of the other women and crowned her queen of his country, Persia.
