LESSON FOURTEEN (14)
TOPIC: WAYS GOD BLESSES A MAN (RICHES)
BIBLE TEXT: 1 King 3:4-15

MEMORY VERSE: Psalms 84:11c “No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly”

LESSON AIM: God is the giver of riches.

CHILD RELATED TRUTH: Ask God for riches and wealth.

INTRODUCTION: Deuteronomy 8:18 And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it 1s He who gives you power to get wealth that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers as it is this day. The above verse speaks the mind of God concerning your covenant of riches which only Him can bring to pass as long as you remain in Him. Isaiah 48:17. Ask, trust and depend on God tor your riches.

PROGRESSION OF EVENTS
A. Now King Solomon went to Gibeon to sacrifice there for that was the great high place. He offered a thousand and burnt offering on the altar.
B. There the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night and God said “Ask what shall I give you?”
C. And Solomon said “Now O Lord my God, you have made your servant king after his father David but I am a little child I do not know how to go out or come in. Solomon acknowledged his lack of wisdom as a child and came to ask God for help. Do you acknowledge your weakness or sinful state? Who do you turn to for help?
D. Solomon asked for understanding heart to judge the people of Israel, to discern between good and evil.
E. Solomon’s speech pleased the Lord because he did not as for long life or riches for himself or the lite ot his enemies but for understanding to discern justice

CLIMAX: God said to him See I have given you a wise and understanding heart So that there is none like you among the kings all your days.

CONCLUSION: God also promise to lengthen his days if he walks in His ways just like his father David to keep His commandments. So Solomon returned to Jerusalem and
worshiped God with a burnt offering and made a feast with his servants

CHALLENGE: As a child of God always ask God to bless you with the right things whenever you go before him. He knows your heart Ask Him for wisdom to do things right. He is always ready to give more when you ask and ask correctly

INVITATION: Jesus said in Mathew 15:26 that children’s bread cannot be given to dogs so for you to get riches from God first receive Jesus as your Saviour John 1:12

LESSON FIFTEEN (15)
TOPIC: BE OBEDIENT TO GOD
BIBLE TEXT: John 14:15-24

MEMORY VERSE: John 14:15: You are my friends, if you do whatsoever I command.

LESSON AIM: The saved child will demonstrate his love for God by obeying His word.

CHILD RELATED TRUTH: Obey God always and in all things.

INTRODUCTION:
You may ask – How important is obedience to God? John 14:15 If you love me, obey my commandment”, From this passage you will realize that obedience is the true test of your love for God.
Obedience to God is living God’s word, if you want to enjoy being filled with the love of Jesus live by his teaching.

PROGRESSION OF EVENTS:
A. After Jesus’ supper in the upper room with His disciples. He told them that “if you love me, you will keep my commandment. Vs. 15. This word is not only for the twelve disciples, for everyone who believes in His Name and that
include you and me too. John 17:20. If Jesus is your Saviour, God wants you to show the love for him in obedience to His commands.

B. Jesus promised, they should ask His father to send them another comforter (Holy Spirit) that will help them to walk in obedience to His command. vs.16-17.

C. When it is difficult for you obey God’s word, your parent or teachers as God to give you help you by the power of the Holy Spirit to be able to do so.

D. Jesus said “A little while longer and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you will live, also for everyone who has received Jesus as Saviour from sin.
Rom 3:23 and has been cleansed by the blood of Jesus. Hebrews 9:13 will have everlasting life.

E. Jesus assured those that obey Him that “At that day you will know I am in My Father and He is in me vs. 20,

F. He who has My commandment and keeps them will be loved by My Father, and I will love him. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him. Vs, 21

Question: Who loves Jesus?
Answer: One who keeps His commandments.
Question: Who does the Father love like the son?
Answer: The one who loves the Son.

God makes a very special promise; He will reward those that love him.

Jesus promised to show up in a very special way, the Lord God will come and live inside us (John 14:21) Holy Spirit.
Question: How do you show that you love Jesus by obedience?
Answers: – Obey God’s word.
– Obey your parent,
– Obey elders,
– Obey your teachers.

CLIMAX: One of the disciple asked Jesus how is it that you will manifest yourself to us and not to the world?
He answered – If anyone loves me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make Our home with him vs. 22-23

CONCLUSION: Jesus said, he who does not love me nor keep My words and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father who sent me vs. 24.

CHALLENGE: If you have received Jesus into heart. God wants you to obey His commandments is an evidence of your love to Him. Trust God this week; obey His commands.

INVITATION: You cannot obey God word unless you have believed Jesus. Believe in Him today so you can begin to obey God’s commands John 6:47.

LESSON SIXTEEN (16)
TOPIC: BLESSINGS OF THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT
BIBLE TEXT: Galatians 5:22-26

MEMORY VERSE: Ephesians 5:9 “For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth”

LESSON AIM: God desires that you bear fruits of the Spirit.

CHILD RELATED TRUTH: The Fruit of the Spirit is a blessing from God.

INTRODUCTION: Fruits refers to the natural product of a living thing. The Fruit of the Spirit is the result of the Holy Spirit’s presence and workings in the life of a child of God. It is
listed in Gal. 5:22-23.
As physical fruits need to grow and ripen, so also the spiritual fruits need to grow and mature.

PROGRESSION OF EVENTS
There are nine fruits of the Spirit as listed in Gal. 5:22-23

  1. Love: True love is a choice not a feeling. It is the primary key to everything. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
    God’s love surpasses human understanding
  2. Joy: Heb. 12:2. This is the fruit that represents a great delight or happiness caused by something exceptional, good and satisfying. It gives spiritual strength.
  3. Peace: Peace is the inner quietness of heart, mind and soul.
  4. Long-suffering: This means long and patient endurance in times of trouble. 2 Peter 3:9
  5. Gentleness: This means being moderate and kind. It also means the absence of harshness.
  6. Goodness: This is moral excellence; doing what is right. Mark 10:18
  7. Faithfulness: This 1s to do What you Say you are going to do. It means to be known as someone people can trust.
  8. Meekness: This is being humble and patient. This does not mean being weak but rather a servant-like submission to God and others in your care.
  9. Temperance: This is self-control and moderation. It means having control over your entire body, soul and spirit.

CLIMAX: When we allow the Holy Spirit to take total control of our lives, we produce Godly character.

CONCLUSION: A good Christian lifestyle is produced by the Holy Spirit that dwells in believers, not by self-efforts.

CHALLENGE: The Fruit of the Spirit must show in your life as a child of God. They are the evidences that you are truly a child of God.

INVITATION: You want to bear the Fruit of the Spirit you must be a child of God, so call on Him today and you will be saved. Romans 10:13

LESSON SEVENTEEN (17)
TOPIC: ATTRACTING GOD’S BLESSING 1 (RIGHTEOUSNESS)
BIBLE TEXT: Genesis 6:1-9,17

MEMORY VERSE: Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.

LESSON AIM: GOD blesses the righteous.

CHILD RELATED TRUTH: Doing the right things attracts God’s blessings.

INTRODUCTION: Choice of position or leadership is mostly given to those of proving character and deeds.
Do all the good you can,
In all the way you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
For all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.

PROGRESSION OF EVENTS
A. When God saw how wicked people had become. He was sorry He had made them. God was grieved i.e pained that the people He had created had become so sinful and no longer love Him.
B. Noah was the only man in the society who walked with God
C. God warned Noah that He would destroy the world and instructed him to build an ark. God loved Noah because he walked with Him and He wanted to save him from destruction and to use him to preserve the earth. God also loves you and wants to save you from your sin and its punishment if you will yield yourself to Him.
D. Noah obeyed God doing all that He commanded him
E. God commanded Noah and his family to enter the ark taking with them certain species or kind of animals
F. When Noah, his family and the animals were safe in the ark, God shut the door. God had warned the people for 120 years to turn from their sins, but they had refused. There is only one place of safety. Those in the ark were safe from punishment for sin. Today there is only one way for you to be safe from punishment or your sin and it is in accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. He is God’s perfect son who took the punishment for your sin and mine when He died on the cross. Colossians 1:14 He died and rose on the third day. You can be safe in the Lord Jesus just as Noah and his family was safe in the ark.
G. God sent the flood, destroying every living thing on the earth. After several months the flood water dried up and the ark rest
on Mount Ararat (Genesis 8:1-14)
H. God commanded Noah and his family to go out of the ark (Genesis 8:15-19)

CLIMAX: Noah built an altar and offered a sacrifice to thank God for His saving protection.

CONCLUSION: God gave Noah instructions and wonderful promises for the future (9:13-17).

CHALLENGE: God presented and blessed Noah and his family because he was found righteous. As a child of God ask God to help you to keep doing right things so that you will remain blessed and a blessing because God always keep His promises.

INVITATION: Accept Jesus as your Savior today asking to change you from doing wrong and bad things and to give you power to be righteous Acts 16:31.

LESSON EIGHTEEN (18)
TOPIC: ATTRACTING GOD’S BLESSINGS II (OBED1ENCE)
BIBLE TEXT: Genesis 21:8; 22:1-14

MEMORY VERSE: Isaiah 1:19 ‘If ye be willing and obedient ye shall eat the good of the land.’

LESSON AIM: God blesses the obedient.

CHILD RELATED TRUTH: Obedience attract God’s blessings

INTRODUCTION: 1 Samuel 15:22b Behold to obey is better than sacrifice and to heed than the fat of rams. There are many blessings of obeying God’s word; physical, spiritual, material blessings. Deut. 28:2. The sign that you know God and love Him by obeying Him, 1 John 2:4. The Bible gave examples of those who are blessed through obeying God and those that are punished for their disobedience, Which one do you want to belong?

PROGRESSION OF EVENTS
A. God fulfilled His promise to Abraham and Sarah by giving them a son Isaac Genesis 21:1-7
B. Sometimes later God tested Abraham by ordering him to offer this promised son on Mount Moriah as a burnt sacrifice.
C. Abraham obeyed, journeyed the next morning
D. Arriving at mount Moriah three days later. Abraham told his servants to wait while he and Isaac went up into the mountain to worship.
E. Abraham responded to Isaac’s question.
F. Abraham built an altar and tied his only son to it.
G. As Abraham raised the knife to kill Isaac, the Lord stopped him.
H. Abraham looked up and saw a ram caught in a bush by its horns. God provided a substitute, Abraham offered the ram instead of Isaac.

CLIMAX: Abraham called the name of the place “The Lord will provide”

CONCLUSION: Then the angel of the Lord called Abraham a second time out of heaven and said ‘By myself I have sworn says the Lord because you have done this things and have not withheld your son, your only son, blessing I will bless you and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven. Gen 22: 16-19

CHALLENGE: Obedience attracts God’s blessings. God honors those who obey and honor Him. To attract the blessings of God
always obey God’s word and instructions no matter how difficult it seems. John 13:17 says if you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. If you obey God, your parents your teachers and elders you will be happy, if disobey you will be sad. Ask God to help you to be obedient so you can stay safe and out of trouble.

INVITATION: Your first obedience is call to salvation. Receive Jesus as your savior Romans 10:13
