RCCG JUNIOR ZEAL FOR 2022/2023
AGE 13-19 TEACHER’S MANUAL
SUNDAY 16TH OF APRIL, 2022
LESSON THIRTY THREE (33)
*TOPIC: INSPIRATIONAL GIFT 2
(Different Tongues and Interpretation of Tongues)

BIBLE TEXT: 1 Corinthians 12: 4-12; ACTS 2: 1-4.
1 Corinthians 12:4-12
[4]There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
[5]There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.
[6]And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.
[7]But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
[8]for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,
[9]to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
[10]to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
[11]But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. Unity and Diversity in One Body
[12]For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.

Acts 2:1-4
[1]When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
[2]And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
[3]Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.
[4]And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. The Crowd’s Response

MEMORY VERSE: Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

LESSON AIM: Al believers receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and nmanifest the Gift of Tongues to glorify and magnify God-Acts 10: 44-48.

CENTRAL TRUTH: Tongues are the Holy Spirit praying, speaking, and singing through you. “For ifI pray in a tongue, my spirit prays,” (1 Corinthians 14:14-15.)
In other words, praying in Tongues or praying in the spirit is your spirit bypassing the limitations of your mind, enabling you to minister beyond your natural understanding (1 Cor. 14:2).

INTRODUCTION: Speaking in tongues is a legitimate gift of the Spirit. The exercise of the gift demands some guidelines (1 Cor. 14:18), so that the purpose of the gift, to help the body of Christ, is not lost.

LIFE APPLICATION: “And these signs shall follow then that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues

CONCLUSION: “If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let t it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. “1 Corinthians 14:27-28.
