LESSON FOUR (4)
TOPIC: WHO DESERVES GRATITUDE 3: TEACHERS

BIBLE TEXT: 1 Corinthians 9:11-14
[11]If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
[12]If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.
[13]Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?
[14]Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.

Romans 15:25-27
[25]But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.
[26]For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.
[27]It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.

MEMORY VERSE: Galatians 6:6 “Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things”.

INTRODUCTION: The adage which says that ” Teachers’ reward is in heaven” is a myth because Scripture makes us understand that caring andnappreciating Teachers is a Command – Matthew 10:10. A Grateful heart appreciates his or her Teacher for their effort either in cash or kind -1 Timothy 5:17-18. Cash appreciation are known as salary, wages, honorarium while appreciation in kind maybe spoken words such as “Thank you so very much”, a warm smile, a big hug, a clap, gifts, just to mention but a few. Appreciating Teachers encourages and drives them to put in their best and even go an extra mile at ensuring that all they teach is imparted seamlessly.
