RCCG LOWER JUNIOR ZEAL FOR 2024/2025
AGE 6-8 TEACHER’S MANUAL
SUNDAY 13TH OF OCTOBER, 2024
LESSON SEVEN (07)
TOPIC: THE WORD OF GOD

BIBLE TEXT: 2 Timothy 3: 10-17
[10]But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
[11]Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
[12]Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
[13]But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
[14]But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
[15]And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
[16]All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
[17]That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

MEMORY VERSE: PSALM 119:11 “Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.”

GOSPEL CONNECTION: Jesus is the Son and also the Word of God. The Bible tells us that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14). Jesus came to the World to die and take away the sins of the World. Jesus willingly died a shameful death on the cross by shedding His lifeblood. Jesus died, was buried, and came alive again on the third day, He now lives in Heaven with God His Father. Because of what Jesus did on the cross, if you confess your sins, He will forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9)

CLIMAX: Jesus has a kingdom and He will come again

CONCLUSION: Preach the gospel and be ready at all times

You can read stories of people in the past, and you can read messages from God to His people. You can also find beautiful Scripture with poetry. You can read the story of the life of Jesus and how He came to earth. And you will see messages that help you know how to live and be followers of Jesus. God wants to communicate His heart and how much He cares for and loves you. When you read the Bible, you can be confident it contains the words of God. It is a gift from Him.
