LESSON SEVEN (07)
TOPIC: THE WORD OF GOD
BIBLE TEXT: 2 Timothy 3: 10-17

MEMORY VERSE: PSALM 119:11 “Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.”

LESSON AIM: The children will understand that the Bible is completely God’s word

CHILD-RELATED TRUTH: God wants you to believe that the Bible in His word

INTRODUCTION: The Bible is God’s Word, and is useful for many important things. Not only does the Bible contain law and history, but it also expresses God’s love through poetry. prophecy, the story of Jesus, and life instruction. God has given us the Bible out of love for us.

PROGRESSION OF EVENT: 2 TIMOTHY 3:10-17

1. Paul told Timothy to continue in the teachings he had learned, that the teachings were true, and to trust those who taught him.
2. Paul also said that Timothy has known the word of God since he was a child which had made him wise.
3. Wisdom leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus
4. The word of God is inspired by God and is used for teaching and showing people what is wrong in their lives
5. It is useful for corr correcting faults and teaching how right to live
6. Using the word of God, the person who serves God will be ready and have everything he needs for every good work
7. Paul gave Timothy a command before God and Jesus, that Jesus Christ will be the one to judge the living and the dead

GOSPEL CONNECTION: Jesus is the Son and also the Word of God. The Bible tells us that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14). Jesus came to the World to die and take away the sins of the World. Jesus willingly died a shameful death on the cross by shedding His lifeblood. Jesus died, was buried, and came alive again on the third day, He now lives in Heaven with God His Father. Because of what Jesus did on the cross, if you confess your sins, He will forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9)

CLIMAX: Jesus has a kingdom and He will come again

CONCLUSION: Preach the gospel and be ready at all times

CHALLENGE: God breathed out His words through faithful men and gave the Bible life. The Bible will help bring inspiration into our lives. There are lots of amazing things in the Bible. You can read stories of people in the past, and you can read messages from God to His people. You can also find beautiful Scripture with poetry. You can read the story of the life of Jesus and how He came to earth. And you will see messages that help you know how to live and be followers of Jesus. God wants to communicate His heart and how much He cares for and loves you. When you read the Bible, you can be confident it contains the words of God. It is a gift from Him.

CARRY-OVER ACTIVITY: Continue to pray to thank God for the gift of the bible, and do not forget to read your Bibles.

INVITATION: To understand what is written in the bible, you need to invite Jesus into your life as Lord and Saviour (Hebrews 7:25).

LESSON EIGHT (8)
TOPIC: VISION
BIBLE TEXT: Habakkuk 2:2-3

MEMORY VERSE: Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

LESSON AIM: The children will learn to depend on God to help them for everything

CHILD-RELATED TRUTH: God wants you to rely on Jesus

INTRODUCTION: Hello, amazing children of God! Today, we will embark on an exciting adventure into the world of vision and dreaming big with God. Did you know that God loves it when we dream big dreams? He has incredible plans for us and wants us to have a vision for our lives that honors Him. Let’s discover together how we can see with the eyes of faith and pursue God’s vision for us

PROGRESSION OF EVENT: GOD’S VISION FOR YOU:

• God has a special plan for each one of you! His vision for your life is filled with hope, prosperity, and a bright future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
• God wants you to dream big dreams because He has amazing things in store for you (Habakkuk 2:2-3)
• Sometimes, God’s vision for your life may seem too big or impossible.
• But with faith, we can see beyond what is visible and believe that God will make it possible to trust in Him, and He will lead you on an extraordinary journey (Hebrews 11:1)
• God’s Word guides you as you pray and read the Bible and he will show you the way and give light to your path with His light. (Psalm 119:105)
• God created each of you uniquely and wonderfully so believe in yourself and the gifts He has given you.
• You can achieve great things when you trust in God’s power working through you. (Ephesians 2:10)

GOSPEL CONNECTION: To trust in God’s power, you need to know that He loves and cares for you. The Bible says that God so loved the World that He sent His only begotten Son to take the punishment for your sins by shedding His blood on the cross. Jesus willingly took the punishment for your sins, He died, was buried, and came alive on the third day. When you ask Jesus into your life as Lord and Saviour, God’s power will now work in you. As you pursue your dreams be a source of inspiration and support for your friends and family as they journey towards their dreams. (Hebrews 10:24)

CLIMAX: God said to write down the vision He had shown for others to see (Habakkuk 2:2)

CONCLUSION: God said that it may take a long time but it will happen (Habakkuk 2:3)

CHALLENGE: Dear children, as you embark on this journey of dreaming big with God, remember that He has a special plan for each one of you. With faith, courage, and determination, you can see beyond the ordinary and pursue God’s extraordinary vision for your life. Trust in Him, believe in yourself, and encourage others.

CARRY-OVER ACTIVITY: This week, encourage others by telling them about the saving love of Jesus

INVITATION: If you want God to work through you, you need to believe in Jesus and be saved (Acts 16:31).

LESSON NINE (9)
TOPIC: PURPOSEFUL LIVING
BIBLE TEXT: Luke 4:14-21

MEMORY VERSE: JEREMIAH 1:4-5 “Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

LESSON AIM: The children will put their trust in God to help them live a purposeful life

CHILD-RELATED TRUTH: Jesus is your helper

INTRODUCTION: Do you know anyone who others have rejected? People are disliked for many reasons. Can you think of a reason someone would be put down or disrespected? Have you ever been rejected by your friends? How did it feel? How did you react? Did you want to fight, argue, pout, feel sorry for yourself, get angry, withdraw, defend yourselves, or take revenge? What would Jesus do? (He would forgive and continue to love.) What are the ways you could “stick up for” a person who others have rejected?

PROGRESSION OF EVENT: LUKE 4:14-21

1. Jesus returned to Galilee and everyone in the countryside heard about Him and praised Him.
2. Then Jesus went to Nazareth, stood up in the synagogue, and opened his scroll to teach the people.
3. Jesus said, “The spirit of the Lord is with me and He has given me the job of telling the good news to the poor.
4. He sent me to tell the prisoners that they can be free, the blind that they can see again, and the oppressed that they can be free to tell everyone that it is the time when God is with us.
5. When Jesus was done talking he sat down and told the people that all the Old Testament scriptures would be complete because of Him.

GOSPEL CONNECTION: For many years everyone was waiting for God to send someone to save them and who was in that person? That’s right, Jesus. Jesus came into this world to die for our sins. A sinful death on the cross shedding His lifeblood so that your sins and mine will be forgiven when we confess them. Jesus has the power to do miracles and save lives.

CLIMAX: After so many years of waiting Jesus is finally here and it is time for Him to tell the Good News about Himself

CONCLUSION: Jesus stopped reading in the middle of the passage and closed the Scriptures.

CHALLENGE: God loves everyone and has a purpose for each of us. What is your condition today? Are you living a life of purpose? Then Jesus speaks directly and simply to you. He wants you to believe and enjoy the benefits of salvation. Jesus loves you and wants you to be His disciples and tell others about Him.

CARRY-OVER ACTIVITY: This week, be intentional and tell others about Jesus

INVITATION: John 3:17 says God sent Jesus to save the world through Him. Ask Jesus to save you today.

LESSON TEN (10)
TOPIC: GOAL SETTING: S.M.A.R.T.
BIBLE TEXT: Habakkuk 2:2-3

MEMORY VERSE: HABAKKUK 2:3 “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end, it will speak, and it will not lie.”

LESSON AIM: The children will believe that God will give them vision to set goals

CHILD-RELATED TRUTH: God wants you to rely on Jesus for visions

INTRODUCTION: Hello, wonderful children! Today, we’re going to talk about setting smart goals with the help of the Bible. Just like how we learn in school to set goals for ourselves, we can also set goals with God’s guidance to become the best version of ourselves. Let’s explore how we can set smart goals that honor God’s plan for our lives! Smart goals are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time- bound. They help us focus on what we want to achieve and how to get there.

PROGRESSION OF EVENT: BIBLICAL WISDOM ON SETTING GOALS AND WITH EXAMPLES:

• Specific: God wants you to be specific about your goals and commit them to Him. (Proverbs 16:3). e. g. “I will read one chapter of the Bible every day before bedtime.”
• Measurable: Like in a race, you can measure your progress as you work towards your goals. (Hebrews 12:1b) e.g. “I will learn five new Bible verses each month.”
• Achievable: With God’s strength, you can achieve your goals, but setting realistic ones is important. (Philippians 4:13) e.g. “I will practice kindness by helping one person in need each week.”
• Relevant: Your goals should align with God’s purpose for your lives. (Ephesians 2:10) e.g. “I will join the church choir to use my singing talent to praise God.”
• Time-bound: Setting deadlines helps you stay focused and accountable. (Psalm 90:12) e.g. “I will memorize the Ten Commandments within the next three months.”

GOSPEL CONNECTION: “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.” (Psalm 37:5) It is essential to pray and seek God’s guidance as you set and pursue your goals because He loves you and wants the best for you. God’s love is so great that He sent His Son Jesus to die in your place. That death was on the cross by the shedding of blood. Jesus died and was buried but on the third day, He rose again from the dead and now lives in heaven with God. Trusting in Him, you can be confident that He will help you succeed according to His will. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

CLIMAX: The people who read the vision of the Lord will run with it. (Habakkuk 2:2)

CONCLUSION: The vision is only for an appointed time so wait for it to come to pass (Habakkuk 2:3)

CHALLENGE: Dear children, setting smart goals with God’s wisdom and guidance is a wonderful way to honor Him in your lives. Remember to be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound in your goal-setting, trusting that God will bless your efforts. As you work towards your goals, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, knowing that He is with you every step of the way. You can achieve great things through His strength and grace.

CARRY-OVER ACTIVITY: This week, daily recite your memory verse for the week and apply it to your life each time

INVITATION: You need Jesus to show you visions, so accept Him as Lord and Savior (John 1:12).

LESSON ELEVEN (11)
TOPIC: FAITH
BIBLE TEXT: Hebrews 11:1-7, 31;12:1-3

MEMORY VERSE: HEBREWS 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

LESSON AIM: The children will fix their hope in God and let Him be their guide no matter what

CHILD-RELATED TRUTH: God wants you to fix your hope on Jesus for guidance

INTRODUCTION: Children! What is faith? What does that mean? (Give room for the children to answer). Faith means we are looking forward to something that has not yet happened. If you were willing to follow directions without knowing the prize, it means you had faith that whatever was coming at the end was worth it. If you trust and hope for something in the future, you have faith that it will be valuable. Can you think of a time in your life when you had to have faith?

PROGRESSION OF EVENT: HEBREWS 11:1-7; 31-12:3

1. The Bible talks about faith and says some great things about people that have faith.
2. The Bible says faith is being confident and assured of things we hope for, but cannot see.
3. Faith means we still know He is there and does wonderful things for us.
4. The Bible talks about people who demonstrated faith.
5. There were people like Noah, who built an ark in anticipation of a flood that hadn’t started yet
6. There was Abraham, who left his home to follow God
7. There was Rahab, who trusted God when her whole city collapsed around her.

GOSPEL CONNECTION: God loved Rahab and saved her from the collapsed city. God loves you too and sent His only begotten Son to save you and me from our sins. Jesus took our punishment for our sins by shedding His lifeblood on the cross. Jesus died and was buried but on the third day, He rose again from the dead and now lives in heaven with God the Father. All you need to do is put your trust in Jesus and ask for forgiveness of your sins.

CLIMAX: We have an amazing promise from God. Even if this earthly life passes away, great things await us someday. Hebrews 11:38

CONCLUSION: God has wonderful things planned. We cannot always see them, but we trust His promises. Hebrews 11:39-12:3

CHALLENGE: But do you know the truly wonderful thing? We don’t have to do anything special to have faith. It does not depend on us or any sort of actions we might do. Faith is not about us; it’s about God. It is about what He has done and what He promises to do. You see, trust has to do with what we believe. To trust someone, it helps to know they are worthy of trust. Sometimes we worry over life’s details. Maybe it’s school, upcoming things, or sports, or friends, or any number of potential fears. It can be easy to lose sight of what is important. We know that God is worthy of our trust. Because of Jesus, trusting God does not mean our lives will always go smoothly. But it does mean that we have a future hope for something greater.

CARRY-OVER ACTIVITY: This week, put your faith in Jesus to provide something you have been hoping for

INVITATION: To have Jesus, you need to invite Him into your life as Lord and Saviour (Acts 16:31.
