AGE 9-12 TEACHER’S MANUAL
SUNDAY 22ND OF SEPTEMBER, 2024
LESSON FOUR (4)
TOPIC: THE SANCTIFIER: JESUS
BIBLE TEXT: Ephesians 1:7-10
[7]In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
[8]Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
[9]Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
[10]That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
MEMORY VERSE: Ephesians 1:7 “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;”
LESSON AIM: To let the Children know that Jesus is the Son of God.
CENTRAL TRUTH: Jesus is the second person in Trinity with the power of God.
INTRODUCTION: Christ took on human flesh to save and to sanctify us from the power of sin. Since His Word demands holiness in those who claim to be His disciples, it is reasonable to believe that He has also made it possible to live a holy life. When Christ died on the cross, He provided for man’s sanctification (Hebrews 10:10, 14). Jesus’ death on the cross, the shedding of His blood, provided eternal sanctification for those who believe and accept the provision (Hebrews 13:12). The study helps us appreciate the person of Jesus, the attributes/character of Jesus and how Jesus sanctifies the believer. In today’s lesson we will discuss Our Lord Jesus Christ as the sanctifier and power as the second person in trinity.
STUDY GUIDE
A. WHO IS JESUS?
- He is the image of the invisible God…” God the Father does not have a material body. Throughout the Bible you see this language used to refer to him as invisible, meaning he doesn’t dwell in a body. However, in Jesus the invisible has become visible.

The Bible said these about Jesus - He is the Son of God. (John 3:16).
- The angels obeyed him. (Matthew 13:41).
- The ultimate judge of all men. (John 5:22)

- He could raise people from the dead. (John 5:28).
- He could raise Himself from the dead. (John 10:18).
- He is one with God. (John 10:30)
- He’s the only way to God. (John 14:6)
- He’s the giver of eternal life. (John 10:28)
