Topic: The Wise [Teens Open Heavens 26 January 2021]
Memorise: The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise. – Proverbs 11:30
Read: Luke 10:1-3
1 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go.
2 He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.
3 Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.
Bible In One Year: Exodus 9-10; Matthew 18:1-20
MESSAGE:
Our memory verse for today tells us of a special person whom the Bible refers to as ‘the wise’ (soul winners). Soul winning is the heartbeat of God. Hence, it is not enough to be saved; you need to bring others into the fold of Christ because God does not desire that any soul should perish. In fact, you were saved so that others too can be saved. So, don’t just be a worker in God’s vineyard, don’t be comfortable with just coming to church, you need to do more; win souls.
Any time I am invited for any honorary award anywhere in the world, as long as I have the microphone in my hand and a few moments, I ensure that I tell them about Jesus Christ who is coming back to give the greatest award. Therefore, use every avenue you have to preach the gospel particularly your social media platforms. Imagine how many terrorists, kidnappers and ritualists would have been won to Christ if all those who are born again win souls. If want to be referred to as ‘the wise’, win souls.
Action Point:
Win a soul for Christ this week
Hymn 14: Let Others See Jesus In You
- While passing through this world of sin,
And others your life shall view
Be clean and pure without, within,
Let others see Jesus in you.
Chorus:
Let others see Jesus in you,
Let others see Jesus in you;
Keep telling the story
Be faithful and true,
Let others see Jesus in you.
- Your life’s a book before their eyes,
They’re reading it through and through;
Say, does it point them to the skies,
Do others see Jesus in you? - What joy ’twill be at set of sun,
In mansions beyond the blue,
To find some souls that you have won
Let others see Jesus in you. - Then live for Christ both day and night,
Be faithful, be brave, and true,
And lead the lost to life and light;
Let others see Jesus in you.
