TOPIC: THE RULE OF CHRIST

MATTHEW 4:23-25 (NKJV)23. And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.24. Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.25. Great multitudes followed Him — from Galilee, and [from] Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.

THE MESSAGE:In today’s passage, Jesus demonstrates that part of the good news of God’s Kingdom is the clear manifestation of God’s power over Satan and sickness: God is able to heal any disease and defeat every satanic manifestation against you. When you come to Him, He meets you at the points of your needs. When you call on Him, He answers, if you come to Him through faith in Jesus Christ. There is nothing that confronts you today that Christ cannot handle. Bring your needs and requests to God today through faith in Christ (Philippians 4:6). He is not just concerned about the needs of your soul (your spiritual needs), He is also concerned about the needs of your body (your physical and emotional needs).

Faith in Christ means submitting your life to Jesus and obeying Him totally. God takes responsibility only for those whose lives are yielded to Christ in total obedience. Unfortunately, many people want the blessings of God but do not want to submit to His rule over their lives. It doesn’t work that way. The blessings and the rule of God go together. If Jesus does not dictate the steps and choices of your life, you cannot expect to fully partake of the blessings that He offers.

PRAYER: Lord, rule over me through Jesus Christ. Amen
