TOPIC: YOUR SORROW WILL TURN TO JOY
READ :JOHN 16:21-24 (NKJV)

21. A woman, when she is in labor, has sorrow because her hour has come; but as soon as she has given birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.
22. Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.
23. “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.
24. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

THE MESSAGE:

Jesus prepared the hearts of His Disciples for the intense sorrow and anguish His arrest, suffering and death would soon bring them. The disciples would later rejoice at His resurrection just like a pregnant woman whose time of labour is full of intense pain but shortly afterwards, rejoices at the birth of her new-born baby, forgetting her birth pains. Their joy would know no bounds.

Beloved, that you experience difficult, painful or trying times does not mean that God has abandoned you. That you experience sorrowful moments does not mean that God does not listen to your prayers. This may just be a time to test your faith. Do not lose heart. Your sorrow will soon turn to joy. Keep pressing on in faith: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:5)

PRAYER: Father, turn my pain into joy, my trials into testimonies in Jesus name.
