13. till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
14. that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,
15. but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head — Christ —
16. from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

THE MESSAGE:

Our text today in verse 14 points out that as long as one doesn’t mature in the faith (our common faith) and in the knowledge of Christ,such a one will continue to be tossed around by every wind of teaching and craftiness of men. Such an unsteady person, according to James 1:7 should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.

Many men are out there to prey on the gullible, unsteady people with their sweet but untrue teachings, flashy but fake magical miracles, thereby enslaving them in the confines of their so called ministries. Our faith is one; our salvation is one in our one Lord and Christ. Obedience to the truth, which involves studying the scriptures, makes one experience that truth and stand firm as a member of the body of Christ. Growing in the Lord: In love, knowledge of the truth, faith, righteousness and peace, is maturity. Be mature, don’t be deceived but be beneficial to the Lord.

PRAYER: O Lord, help me to grow to maturity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God. Amen!
