TOPIC: AMBASSADOR FOR CHRIST

READ: 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17-21 (NKJV)17. Therefore, if anyone [is] in Christ, [he is] a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.18. Now all things [are] of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,19. that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.20. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore [you] on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.21. For He made Him who knew no sin [to be] sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.*THE MESSAGE:*If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation because of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. When a sinner is reconciled to God, he is saved from the consequences of sin, and now has the ministry of reconciling others to God (verse 19). Christians should see themselves as ambassadors for Christ and on His behalf, they should plead withunbelievers to be reconciled to God. They should let men know that Christ has carried man’s sins so that the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus may be imputed to man (verse 21).An ambassador for Christ must be dedicated and committed to His service. He should witness for Christ daily and reconcile men to God by preaching the Gospel at home, workplace, business arena, school or wherever God gives the opportunity. Are you an ambassador for Christ? If so, do the work of an evangelist (2 Timothy 4:2). If you do not see yourself as an ambassador for Christ, then you need to cry to God and ask Jesus to come into your life as you repent of your sins (John 1:12). He will come in and empower you to be His ambassador.*PRAYER:* Father give me the wisdom to know that I am an ambassador for Christ and help me to reconcile men to You
