TOPIC: MEETING THE NEEDS OF THE BRETHREN

READ: TITUS 3:12-15 (NKJV)12. When I send Artemas to you, or Tychicus, be diligent to come to me at Nicopolis, for I have decided to spend the winter there.13. Send Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey with haste, that they may lack nothing.14. And let our [people] also learn to maintain good works, to [meet] urgent needs, that they may not be unfruitful.15. All who [are] with me greet you. Greet those who love us in the faith. Grace [be] with you all. Amen.*THE MESSAGE:*Paul wanted Titus to come and visit him at Nicopolis. He also requested Titus to ensure that Zenas, the lawyer, and Apollo, the evangelist, were well-provided for when they want to leave Crete. He wanted Christians to devote themselves to doing good so as to live fruitful lives and meet the needs of others. He extended the greetings of those with him and asked Titus to greet those who love the brethren in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ. He finally commended all the brethren in Crete to the grace of God.Paul had been meeting the spiritual needs of Titus and now wanted him to also meet his own physical needs. He wanted Titus to visit him and also to help two brothers who would be travelling through Crete with sufficient provisions. Some Christians find it difficult to visit other brethren unless on special occasions like weddings, burials, traditional marriage or thanksgiving services. Are you such a Christian? Some brethren do not easily help to meet the needs of fellow believers. Let us learn to do good by visiting the sick, aged, or our pastors, and to be ready to help meet the needs of other brethren who are actually in need of financial or material help.*PRAYER:* Father, help me to find joy in visiting and meeting the needs of other people. Amen
