But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers

Jesus Christ is coming soon! All around us, we see the signs of His nearing return.

Jesus warned us of these impending signs:  wars, rumors of wars, disease, famine, earthquakes, deceivers who claim to be Jesus, increased wickedness, a lack of love, and a migration of Jews back to Israel. For anyone who watches the news, these are daily realities that cause us to look up, because our redemption is closing in (Luke 21:28).

His approaching return stirs a sense of urgency in our hearts. We have work to do before the trumpet blast and His appearance in the clouds!  We must remain sober and alert because no one knows the day when He will descend to catch us away.

We are Christ’s ambassadors while we remain; He has given us everything we need to succeed in our mission. We must be devoted to prayer, good stewards over all the gifts He has entrusted to us. We will give an account for the ways that we manage all He has given.

Watch and pray! Work diligently at the tasks that He places before you, but keep your eyes on the sky. We will not be caught off guard when we live in expectation of His return!

Today’s Blessing:

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. The King of kings is coming soon to catch us away. May your lamps be trimmed, and may He find you working and waiting for His return. Come quickly, Lord Jesus!
