A Cure for the Insecure

From the book Power Thoughts Devo – by Joyce Meyer

In Ephesians 3:17 (AMPC) the apostle Paul writes: May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love. The Greek word for secure means “without anxiety.” If you are a Christian, through Jesus, you have a right to enjoy a life without anxiety. It also means to “have full command.” You can resist insecurity and not be defeated by it as you trust and rely on Jesus.

True security doesn’t depend on how much money you have, your job, the way you look, how others respond to you, or even how they treat you. Security is not based on your education, your marital status, the label inside your clothing, the car you drive, or what kind of house you live in. True security is found in trusting Christ alone and knowing that you are loved and taken care of by Him.

Prayer of the Day: Father, thank You for the security I can find, only in You. Thank You for loving me and taking care of me, in Jesus’ name, amen.
