A Time to Laugh

Today’s Scripture

Genesis 21:6, NIVSarah said, “God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.”

Today’s Word

It’s interesting that one year before Sarah spoke today’s Scripture, she had laughed in disbelief when God promised she would have a baby when she was ninety years old. I love the fact that when God puts big things in our heart that seem laughable, even when we laugh and think, “There’s no way,” God doesn’t say, “Okay, you laughed, so I’m not giving you what I said.” God is so merciful. He says, “Let Me show you what I can do. Let Me give you something to really laugh about.”

Some of the things you’ve been dreaming about may seem laughable, but as with Sarah, God is about to give the laughter of joy. He’s about to surprise you with “who would have ever thought” blessings. He’s going to make things happen that you didn’t see coming and fill your mouth with laughter. You’re not only going to be amazed, but the people around you are going to be so in awe that all they can do is laugh with you.

Prayer for Today

Father, thank You for the dreams, the promises, the potential, and the seeds of greatness You put inside me. Thank You for the “who would have ever thought” blessings You have in my future. I believe I will give birth to my dreams, and everyone will be amazed. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
