Absalom Doesn’t Love You (2)

TEXT: “For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is minister of God to thee for good.” Romans 13 :3 – 4.

Rhema for Living 21 February 2022 Devotional MESSAGE

Every man created by God has a seat of glory ordained for him; do not allow impatience make you destroy yours. To plot and scheme to ascend any position of authority speaks volume of incompetence and inferiority complex. If you are effective and capable, in due season you will get there if that is the seat God has ordained for you.

Every child of God is the head and not the tail not necessarily the number one person in leadership. There are various levels of leadership, spheres of authority. You can be under authority, yet others under you. See the words of the centurion to Jesus when he asked him to speak the word only. He said, “For I am man under authority, having soldiers under me Matt. 8 :9.

We are all under the authority of our Master and Saviour Jesus, and under the authority of those He has put ahead of us, and others under our authority. Every man God has put ahead of you as a leader, you have a responsibility to submit to them. You are to even pray for them for grace. No wonder Apostle Paul said, “Brethren, pray for us.” 1 Thess. 5 :25.

In the kingdom of God, there is order. Don’t be disorderly, always going against the immediate leadership over you because you seek the ruler’s favour. Proverbs 29 :26 says; “Many seek the ruler’s favour; but every man’s judgment cometh from the LORD.” Meaning no matter how you seek the ruler’s favour in eye service that main thing you seek for is solely in the hand of the Lord who judges every man and rewards them accordingly, Gal. 6 :7.

When the time is due, He turns the heart of the ruler to the man who deserves it. Prov. 21 :1.

Child of God, let us learn to serve God faithfully under those He deemed fit to lead us per time never giving room to the spirit of Absalom.

PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I receive grace for faithful service.
